Be polite and introduce yourself! (Feb. 2015 to Feb. 2017)

Hello Everyone, my name is Joanne and I’ve been vaping since May. I started off with your basic ego pen, quickly moved to protank2, and then an eGo One 2200mah. I bought my first RBA yesterday (Velocity clone by Tobeco), and did my first build on it, a dual coil 7 wrap, 26ga kanthal, which came out to 0.41 ohm. My ego .5 coil actually reads .4 on my ohm meter so I felt safe using it on this battery. I’ve vaped on it and it’s not delivering the flavor I want. So now I’m off on figuring out coils for flavor. Also I ordered an Evic VT mini from efun which hit ISC Chicago on the 11th. As of today it appears to be still sitting there. Anyone have any feedback on how long it takes to leave ISC? I am enjoying my vaping journey and joined this forum because I also want to learn how to make my own juice. I have been pursuing more organic/natural high vg liquids (pg gives me sore throat), and have found some nice manufactures but wish to make my own. That’s where I’m at right now. I look forward to feedback and sharing my journey with you all.

Hey everybody, my name is Earl…nice forum you have here, been lurking long before posting/registering, but HAD to register to add my flavor page, and I’m glad I did!

My new advice: follow a couple recipies to get started and a feel for your tools, but then start creating food recipies with the flavors. I mean you know what goes into a strawberry milkshake, make one with your flavors (empty 8 ml flavor vials rock for this) and adjust to taste, try vanilla swirl instead of dairy milk, try both, kick up the strawberry, etc.
This doesn’t hafta be intemidating.
Once I stopped following recipies and making recipies instead, I’ve now got 4 vapable juices, in flavors I would never have purchased, in less than a week.
…I’ve even managed to reduce my steep time dramatically by following tips I’ve read here.
This place freaking rocks!
…and thank you all for being apart of it! /m/

I’m Matt from the U.K.
I’ve been vaping for about 3 years but only really got into it over the last 6 months. Started D.I.Y about two months ago. Vaping made quitting ciggies easy. I smoked about 30 rollies a day for fifteen years and couldn’t quit no matter how hard i tried. I tried with vaping before and couldn’t cut the high PG. Even 2mg nicotine hurt my throat so i gave it up. When i found out about high vg i realized that the reason i quit vaping was because i couldn’t handle pg. I tried again and it changed everything. Quitting was EASY with 15mg 70vg/30pg liquid.
I’ve never looked back and when i got into D.I.Y it was to lower my nicotine by 0.5mg every month and save some cash. I planned on buying 3 flavors and then i found this site. Now I’m here and a few months later i have 53 flavors and about 23 bottles steeping and god knows how many recipes I’ve created myself and copied from here there and everywhere (mostly here though;)

This site is amazing and vaping really is a passion. It’s a pleasure to meet you all.

Greetings to all. I guess I’m overdue in my introduction. I’ve been participating in a few discussions and exploring this wonderful resource for a couple of months now. I’m Doug, and I’m in the Detroit area. 61 yrs old, and a pack & a half a day smoker for 45 years. I had my last cigarette 3 months ago, and haven’t looked back, since I started vaping. I don’t even miss them. I’m a tobacco flavor lover, and have been DIYing for two months now. It’s so easy to crank out great tasting mixes, with this wonderful site, and the helpful friends that share their knowledge here. The DIY aspect has turned into a new hobby that I really enjoy. I had to impose a budget on myself, so I didn’t go berserk, buying flavors and mixing supplies! Thanks for making room for this old goat to join in.
