Sadly, looking at the map information and the ELR users map, his home was located in the center of the “Camp Fire”. I’m just hoping he circles around goes back to his home and it is all still there unscathed.

The Camp Fire began Thursday morning and quickly wiped out the entire town of Paradise. It has spread to 109,000 acres, leaving at least 23 people dead and more than 6,400 homes destroyed so far. Firefighters reported that it was 25 percent contained as of Sunday morning as they braced for strong, dry winds from the northeast through the rest of the day.

I wish that too, but that’s not a possibility. The whole town got literally erased. Even the neighbor city (chico) where people have been brought after evacuation was still affected, of course not as badly as paradise itself.

I live in the outskirts of sac. around 90 miles away, due to the wind the last days, even down here it reminded of a horror movie. Thick black and astringent smoke, that was extremely difficult to inhale. My place smelled last night like it burned down too. The fire alarms indoor as well as outdoors were going off none stop, fire department had to come out and disconnect these.

I can just imagine how it must feel in areas closer to paradise or even the town itself. So far it’s 25% under control, but winds are about to shift again and picking up more. Currently the wind is blowing towards the sierras but who knows how long that will last.

Other states were asked to assist etc.

paingawd I am very sorry to hear about your house, hope that you and your wife can stay safe and recover quickly. If you need something don’t hesitate to hit me up, I’ll do my best to help somehow.

Dang, I was hoping for a Miracle, I’ll be hoping they finish containing the fire and it does not go south any closer to you @eStorm
