Coil Building show offs!

I figured at £1.50 for 50ml it was worth a try.

But from a dab on my finger I think you may be right. And that was before being added to VG lol.

It was also the only flavouring on the shelf without rapeseed oil as a carrier.

Just put a build in my Petri

It’s using the following.

25g 317L with 36g Clapton. 5 wraps in parallel with
26/28 twisted fused Clapton with 36g wrapper using 4 wraps

On a 2.5mm ID clocking in at .21ohms.

@NewDrip finally started using the 317L again lol. Flavour is on point with this build.

Good Looking build @Jondamon aka CMJ aka CoilMaster J!!! You have definitely graduated the school of hard wraps.

Lol. Thanks for the compliments.

It’s a flavour beast to be fair.

Thanks to the small amount of single core 317 in the Clapton it ramps up super quick.

Thanks again @NewDrip aka MM aka Metal Master!

A sleeper build that I’ve just thrown in the Mutation X.

6 wraps per coil on a 2mm ID coming in at .27ohms.

It’s using the twisted 28g 2 strand that’s been reverse twisted around .5mm ribbon wire for a kind of tidal wire. (Pic earlier in the thread of the wire in question.)

You guys are really talented. You should give some thought to marketing these beastly metal conundrums so untalented schleps like me can try 'em out.

Absolutely fantastic.

If I remember rightly @NewDrip has already offered out a graveyard of coils and a member accepted @Ken_O_Where was the member who snapped them up.

Where are you from @Lostmarbles?

I’m quickly building up a graveyard of coils and wouldn’t mind gifting some to people who either don’t have the time to create them or can’t create them.

I’ve got some 38g Nichrome80 on order not sure what I’m going to do with it yet lol

That will make some beautiful Fused Claptons.

I’m thinking that I might see what happens with a few strands twisted into tidal wire too.

Ultimately though with 38g I was thinking like you with the fused claps.

I really want to try and get some 28g 317L as the 25g I’ve got is great for low ohm building.

Ive already almost spent my vape budget between 118ml of CAPv1, 72mg NIC, flavours, 5x 100ml Amber dropper bottles and wire.

So my TC mod might have to wait.

Besides the place I was going to purchase from have sold out on the IPV4.

So I might order myself an RTA for use on my mech in the meantime.

Thinking about this an entry level RTA

Very nice!

I’ve pulled the trigger on the RTA.

I’m in Southern California USA. Not the nice part with the ocean, the hot part with all the sand and cacti (gonna be 115 F this weekend…blah). I appreciate the thought, but I don’t know how big of a PITA it would be to send them across the pond.

Maybe you could ask @NewDrip if/when he has another graveyard giveaway.

I’ve also seen UD Clapton wire for sale.

So that could be your way into a Clapton build.

Yeah I saw that UD is selling the stuff. I was actually able to get a few clapton wires made before the steadiness of the hand went out. I can do about enough to make a couple of coils before the hand gets too shaky.
Where there’s a will, there’s way, right?

With the Clapton tool that @NewDrip posted using pipettes etc you don’t require a steady hand.

You just need to stop the spool tool from rotating around the wire.

The weight of the tool pretty much keeps it in perfect position.
