I’ve been trying alot of recipes and this (i,hope) is a forum of honest, nice people that say they’re meaning (like my daddy thought me). I’d like to know what the deal is with Enya…
. Hipe or not…tried most of his recipes and some actually were OK but WHAT?.. Just made pistachio. …I almost through up! AND i just saw that the guy made a video of him pissed of his pants doing diy . I like his early videos when he got into basics and really made sense. But good lord do not try that recipe folks… for the love of God!
I think some of Wayne is a LOT of hype. He does have some fairly good mixes, but they aren’t the end all beat all according to my palate. He is active in the DIY community, and I agree, his early videos where very helpful. Maybe he starting to believe his own press? Dunno. I take him like I take many “web personalities”; with a grain of salt, a dash of PG/VG some flavor and some nic.

Yeah I tasted the pistachio juice and had to rewick my freshly wicked double vision… Luckily the Mrs had some bust-a-nut to mend the pain 
the guy reccomended this crap in his video and of course Sonja took a stab at it… Not good. And it’s not a juice that just needs a good steep. All the time in the world wouldn’t save this crap!

HIC has even more hype and worse recipes. Huge amount of good info and he does no lots about flavor pairing but i have yet to try a recipe that did not need a lot of tweaks with inw and flv

I tried a couple myself. They were nothing special to me. I thought it was just my palette because they received so many great reviews.
I made this back in Aug… 60 ml. I still have 55 ml left. This should be Primo by now, but I just can’t vape it and I don’t get the hype. No subs used, I made it exactly as written. I had to order a few flavors to make it.

The Bronuts recipe is pretty good. Haven’t tried anything else of his.
Taste is subjective - I like the bronuts, and the rhodonite I mixed up smells great, funfetti also smells pretty good - I haven’t tried the last two yet though, but I think I’ll like rhodonite… I’ll steer clear of the pistachio ;D

Keep in mind that HIC vaped with a ego style kit. I never tried the recipes myself tho so i cant really speak on them.
I only made 1 of Wayne’s recipes, it wasnt for me but then again i got into mixing because most of the stuff i vaped wasnt for me. That is the best part of DIY, making mixes that you like.
Personally i find making a mix for me is much easier than making a mix that many will like.

You nailed the Strawnana tho… I haven’t seen a bad comment yet. I just made a new batch a couple weeks ago. Still one of my favorites and I have a few Strawnana inspired recipes myself.
I don’t make many users recipes as I find as @daath said… “taste is subjective”, and some I tried wasn’t for me. I have a weird palette, so I mostly stick to my own.

Of course taste is subjective. We all know that but when you go and buy all the flavors and steep the heck out of it and all you get is meh… And this is supposed to be the most awesome juice. At least for a newbie that had read and seen tons of great things about it. It almost threw us of the wagon. But after doing all but none of his recipes I have come to the conclusion that taste must be subjective but thank God along the way I have met people that really can make my taste buds sing and heck… They aren’t on YouTube

Im still kinda of surprised that people seem to like it as it was a first time mix, that so rarely happens. Im mixing a Frosted Flakes right now and i am on V14 or Xi in Greek.
Like you i rarely mix other peoples stuff, much of the fun is in perfecting my own recipes. I tried Bronuts, there was just too much AP in it for me, i coughed until my butt hurt, hehe. I am glad other people have come to love it tho, it gets people acquainted with the whole process of mixing which in turn gets them wanting more. At some point they decided to mix their own concoctions. I find that to be pretty cool.

Sounds good… I might have to steal your milk base because that’s one flavor I have yet to nail down. I’ve tried several highly rated cereal recipes and hated every one. I got a free cereal vape with an order and I haven’t been able to come close to that in the diy world.

A good solid milk base is a bit difficult, in my opinion. Most of the flavorings for this purpose have just a bit too much BTA, of course a milk base requires some BTA as it is a component of milk. So far i have been working with a combination of Milky Undertone and Tres Leches. I think i am getting close to the proper %'s but of course curing time slows things down quite a bit.
My first attempts were with Diary Milk (TFA), VC V1 and Fresh Cream (FA). I worked with these in different amounts, dropped one, tried again, then tried again and eventually went in a different direction as all of these, in any combination, were to heavy.

? Ego style kit? I have read several comments from him that he mixes max vg. How is that possible with his 3-6% mixes?
Ahh, that may be true. I havent read anything from HIC in quite a long time but what i had read HIC was still using an old school kit long after many of us had moved on.
I have a sneak a toke i use once in awhile with some of my high VG mixes, in the 90% plus range. It is an old ego 650mah batt and a Protank 2 mini with the aftermarket air flow base and rebuilt heads with 28g 316L and cotton. Wicks just fine.
Huh ok thx for the info. Have a few friends still using them but i thought they were only good for single flavors 80% pg. Will have to get them to try some of the 30 or so hic mixes doing nothing on my shelf. See what happens
Well if it doesnt work out for you at least you can write all that mixing off as practice for perfecting your own stuff.
