Hurricane Vapor selling their recipes

Can the book with percentages be correct if sweetener is pretty much double the percentage of every other flavor in most recipes?
Surely that can’t be right.
I know that a lot of juices are very sweet, but something here doesn’t make sense to me.

From what I learned the last few weeks I think this is a problem with many commercial liquids. I’ve seen a clone recipe (Ruby’s original something) with 1 flavour (10%) and sweetener (15%) and everybody who tried it said it is spot on.

If it is correct, I feel even sorrier than I did before for anyone that paid $100 for it!

Is that the flavour art berry and super sweet recipie?i tried ten mls of it because i was curious and my face still hasnt gone back to normal after tasting it.

This should help

Its for making 100ml base concentrates (The Spreadsheet) or any other size, adjusted at the top

The percentage to use in a mix sadly eludes me… 15-20% would probably be about right

Interestingly:

Its also worth noting that the math in the spreadsheet it terrible it does not account for decimals…

Try this formula:

ml / amountToMake * 1000 / 100 = percent

Yeah thats the one i tried but cap super sweet instead of tfa.way too sweet, even 0.5 ss made me pucker up lol.

I’m not sure but as far as I remember CAP supersweet is sucralose like in the TFA but a higher concentration. So compared with the TFA version you probably had 20-30% in the mix then.

10ml bottle 1.5ml fa forest fruit and 0.5ml cap super sweet.smelled really nice just too sweet for me,that was the lowest i went on sweetner.

Wow that’s 15% forest fruit. Is forest fruit very sweet anyway?

I think your right about cap ss though it is stronger than tfa,ive read on here its double the strenghth

Yeah i did both 1 ml and 1.5ml.not overly sweet for me but extremely dry tasting i found.

CAP Super Sweet is 20% and TFA is 5%

Oh wow that’s quite a difference. I thought it was 5% / 10%.

Yes in the HV recipes people might really get more sweetner than they bargained for if they don’t know the % difference between the 2

First thing I did was highlight that column and change # of decimal places. Easy fix.

Cap super sweet is what?20% in the recipie or the difference between cap and tfa,lol sorry long day.

Has anybody mixed any of these recipes yet? Are there any nice ones?

Personally, as you’ve noted, I think that since they’re now public, that there’s nothing wrong with putting them up for posterity.

My main concern is lessening the “pain of the lesson” for @Tworrs. Especially when he(?) wanted to share it (in a controlled manner) with the family here, while not intending to profit from it. He was also attempting to support the vaping community (a store that was closing) in good faith, even though he learned a valuable lesson about some people and “the Internet”.

What I would like to propose is that G-Fog gets to publish the recipes, and additionally, gets to link back to this thread in each recipe, with the proposal of if someone appreciates the recipe, that they could then contact him, and donate whatever amount they see fit to!
Once that amount reaches whatever amount was anticipated (not to exceed $100) then the portion of commentary regarding the “incident” is removed from every recipe.

I trust G-Fog enough to suggest this, based on what I’ve read here alone. I think others would feel the same. While a bit naive, he was hoping for the best from mankind, and I feel that’s worth reinforcing.

Toss it about. I like the idea…
