I am a truck driver for a scrap metal company.
It’s just as glamorous as it sounds.
But it does pay well and has me home every night with my family. Beats the hell out of being on the road 2-4 weeks at a time!

Good gracious, I love my profession! 
Today ends a week long run at the theatre with the show “Matilda”. 
…I’m sad to see them leave. It’s an awesome production! Well worth the price of the ticket, should it come to a city near you!

I am a self employed painter and decorator, its the best move I ever made jobwise.
Would I change anything?
Yes, I should have taken the opportunity 20 years previous.
the only thing that stopped me was fear of unregular work, and not getting the bills paid
or providing for my family.
I will never get rich at it, but I enjoy every day unlike when I worked factory jobs,
I have always worked in the finishing or refinishing industry high end and low bottom.

Just local runs. Thankfully. If all the kids were grown it could be fun to do longer trips if I could ride along, but for now it’s nice that he’s home every night.
