That must have been one helluva show. Being a player myself, I had one of those WTF moments when I first heard Jerry Cantrell’s guitar style. So unorthodox… yet his tone and his seemingly ‘out of tune’ soloing at times were both refreshing and a pleasant departure from the Yngwie’s and such. AIC definitely got my attention.

I agree very refreshing from what was out there at the time. Wasn’t really into malmsteen. A few from Soto and rising force or Joe Lynn turner. Never liked his strats either. And that scalloped fret crap. Haha. Give me a kramer hockey stick headstock or a George lynch anyday. Haha
