Is there any decent flv chocolates?

The Chocolate Deutsch is pretty good, BUT, with cake elements. The Milk Chocolate isn’t terrible. And you can pull some pretty good Choco out of the Smores as well.

  1. FLV sweetness tastes like VSO Stevia to me, but just not as bitter. I’m assuming FLV used stevia, and counter-balanced the bitterness with some other additive. I’m not the biggest fan, to be honest. For sweet I still prefer Cap Super Sweet. One to two drops per 30ml is all I usually use, unless it’s a candy sweet recipe. With FLV Sweetness, you’d have to use about twice as much for the same result.

What’s missing from sweetness, in my opinion, is citric acid. It doesn’t make fruits pop like super sweet does, but in bakery mixes it’s about equal. I only have FLV Sweetness for less than a week, so everything I wrote were just my first impressions. Hope this helps.

  1. Yes, RY-Fortress is sold out for an unknown period of time. I sent Nomz an email last week, and they said that they were waiting for confirmation from their manufacturer and couldn’t even tell me a possible date when it would be delivered.

  2. Milk and Honey at 4%?!?!? One hit, and I think I wouldn’t be able to taste anything else for a week. Max 1.5% for me, and even then it’s so powerful that it can completely take over the mix if you’re not careful with the other ingredients.

Haven’t used it for a while but Chocolate Deutsch was my favourite has some cakey vibe to it but I was using it in a Cherry Ripe Cheesecake mix so it fit there.

One of the strong ones by the look of my mixes from a couple of years ago.

Sure is. I didn’t get any cakeyness, but an overpowering great dark chocolate at 0.2%. No sweetness. Your taste buds might vary.

I did mainly use it with bakeries so that might be where I got the cakey part. It seemed to work better in that sort of mix rather than say a more creamy dessert.

Another good FLV chocolate that isn’t named correctly is FLV Mocha. I’ve tried it numerous times and at different % and never really got a mocha (maybe just a hint of coffee) but I did get a really nice darker chocolate vibe.

Let me help with the definition of mocha ** a flavoring made of a (strong coffee) infusion or of a mixture of cocoa or chocolate with coffee. I get little to NO coffee from FLV Mocha only a rich chocolate flavor. Hence I move to change the name of FLV Mocha to FLV Rich Chocolate.
