ELR October Mix-Along, Custardy Treats

Welcome to the ELR October 2026 Mix-Along!

As the autumn chill sets in, we are diving headfirst into one of the most beloved, rich, and versatile profiles in the mixing world: Custard.
This month, we are keeping the momentum going with The Stone Series. This unique format gives you ultimate creative freedom over how you want to build and share your recipes. Whether you want to perfect a foundational base or engineer a fully completed masterpiece, there is a place for you in the mixing room.

:custard: The Stone Series - Two Ways to Participate:
You can choose one or both paths when submitting your creations this month:

  1. The Flavor Stone: Create a standalone, highly concentrated Custard base component (your “stone”) designed to be used as a foundation for other recipes. (Note: Please post your base as a recipe on the calculator, not a one-shot, so others can see your breakdowns!)
  2. The Complete Recipe: Share a fully finished, vape-ready recipe where custard is either the main star or a critical supporting player.

:fallen_leaf: Flavor Profile Inspiration:
Custard is an incredible canvas. If you need some inspiration to get your gears turning, consider leaning into these classic or experimental pairings:
• The Core Elements: Vanilla bean, egg yolk, sweet creams, brown sugar, butterscotch, or milk & honey.
• Autumn Additions: Pumpkin spice, baked apples, dark pears, maple syrup, or toasted pecans.
• Bakery & Booze: Graham cracker crusts, fluffy sponge cake, bourbon, dark rum, or a touch of oak.
• Fruit Infusions: Tart raspberries, ripe strawberries, banana cream, or zesty lemon curd.

:memo: Submission Rules:
To make sure your entries are counted and easy for the community to find, please follow these simple steps:
• Create & Tag: Build your recipe on E-Liquid-Recipes (ELR) during the month of October. Include steep time and a few notes. For example: Your vision, your pairings, developement notes (or how you intend your Stone to be used).
• The Tag: Include the hashtag #ELR/Oct26 directly in your public recipe title once it is completed and published.
• Share the Love: Drop a comment in this thread with a link to your recipe.

Every participant will get one chance at a single Grand Prize, winner will be chosen at random at the end of month and awarded $50 usd Cash or Gift Card of choice.

The mixing floor is officially open. Let’s see those rich, velvety custard creations!

I’ve been working on this one for a while. We didn’t have much growing up but my mom always made sure we were well-fed with treats like this.

Custard or not custard, that’s the question…

Okay this one is kind of cheeky because as far as I can tell, you can’t taste custard in it. But it was an integral ingredient in allowing the Classic Sponge Cake (MB) to shine.

This is a snapshot of a work in progress. But it’s a tasty, delicate vape I can puff all day so I thought I’d share it. I was surprised at how well the Vanilla Custard V2 just kind of disappeared into the cake and lifted it up with moisture and a little cream.
