I guess I should feel good someone "borrowed" my recipe and made it their own LOL

i use alot of peoples recipes i always have the adapted link and i change them up sometimes but never could i repost and try to make it seem like mine , i actually have a friend that copies and trys to pass them off as his to me to try and look cool i guess , but i wouldnt ever try to make money off recipes taken from this site , i just dont feel like its the right thi g to do

IMO for what that is worth , absolutely …not!
I am sure as with everything others will have a much different opinion and that is what makes the world go around.
I think the vast majority would just like a little credit when adapting a persons recipe although I am sure you selling it will hurt someone , but not me and again for what it’s worth.

the person even stole his name lol

lmao i see you commented on the recipe as well lol

Well I thought maybe it was a coincidence at first
But after looking at them both I think you are correct
Hey what you gonna do
It sucks
Looks like a good one you came up with

It does kinda make you wonder ā€œwhyā€ they would do something like that, I mean it’s just strange… probably read your books and are stalking you…

I just read the comments on that recipes … hilarious!! It sucks when people have to ruin it for everyone else. I know that you guys have amazing recipes that you can’t share because of dirt bags. I just don’t understand why people would straight lie and claim a recipe that they didn’t put the time and effort into. I am OK at making my own recipes but I don’t have the time ,patients , and skill that it really requires. I know how to make something I would like to vape but I really have to rely on my ELR family.

i appreciate the recipes here on elr , without them it would have been impossible for me to be where im at , as far as creating my own , and also ones i vape daily just the savings alone , but besides that the people are great and without knowing one another people have helped me more than my own friends , so when i see this it kinda ticks me off

I’ve got all that stuff. I’m making it. I wont re-name it as I am totally content being a nobody mixer here as long as I can vape good stuff all day.

I still need to buy a few of the flavors

I wonder if it would help to have a dialog box come up when you adapt/save a recipe that explains that basically, just because you are adapting this recipe it should be credited to the original member who posted it should you re-post it in the future. Perhaps suggest that it should be saved privately. Also a tip to click on the ā€œadapted from this recipeā€ button if you need to remember who the recipe originated from.

I think this is something that a lot of people don’t understand or think about.

Great idea!! Why didn’t ELR think of this before

No. It does not. It’s flattery, pure and simple, as long as you are giving credit where
credit is do, as you said.

Anytime someone makes one of my recipes and likes it, I’m totally honored. If they make
money from doing so, I’m even more proud. I say, go for it.
