Feels Good doesn’t it? Something for the first time that actually works to keep one off the butts. Congrats and good luck with your mixing.

Thanks for the well wishes and I’ve picked up a couple Jenna’s and a Wasp Nano to start my journey. Trying to get the building part down so I have something to test my mixes on without burning through a bunch of plug in coils

Awesome stories of truth here all sounding so fimular After my 40+ yrs of smoking and trying everything to quit on inhaulers and breathing treatments, Watching my Dad die of lung cancer and mom on breathing machine < that was turned up to max and she still couldnt get enough oxy ion her system because of her smoking, she finally passed struggling for oxy. I decided that I wasnt going to put my childern through what I had watched my parent go through So… I got pen vapors and wernt to bad but needed more so i got a starter kit and totally stopped the cigarettes but didnt expect it to last long after all the other failures at stopping, But WOW what a difference in the larger mod even though it wasnt big and only I believe 30 watts and maybe 29.00 dollars , It WORKED, I was amazed and loved it. that was 2 yrs ago and Now I have several mods from 30 watt to 230 watt , even have a small pod for when I get on a plane. But never in 2 years have i lit another cigarette. I am now exploring they DIY recipes and have blended a few flavors but havent got what I am looking for but will not give up. BTW I no longer do inhaulers and feel 110% better, no more hacking my lungs out and able to do alot more , I will be 62 next month. Neither of my parents made it that far. Thank you all for the great support and everything Vaping has done for so many peoples health.

Well April of 2017 was when I quit smoking. I posted about it in November-- had to wait until I was sure it worked. April of 2018 made a year. April of 2019-- Well basic math, we all got that down. Yes, it’s been over 2 years and still here, feeling better than ever.

I just thought I’d check in to comment on my success, recognize all the others posting about months, or years, free from the cigarette beast.

Cheers and keep on living.

I never quit smoking!

…wait whaaat?

Ok, let me explain. I’ve been smoking for 20 years. At its worst I plowed through 40 cigs a day, and also used 3 packs of “snus” (almost like chew tobacco) a week.

I tried so many times to quit. And failed. And everytime I failed quitting, I felt so bad about myself. I felt I let myself down, and I let every body around me down.

So, after years of failing I found vape. And I tried that on and off a few years, still feeling I failed, as I always went back to cigarettes.

Then, I got my first sub-ohm.
And this time I took another approach. I decided to NOT quit smoking. Just, everytime I wanted a cig, I took up the vape instead. And I said to myself I was going to take minimum 10 puffs of vape first, and if I still felt like a cig, it was ok.
Also later on, if I felt like a cig at any given time, it was OK, because I did not quit smoking.

That’s two years ago, when I made this decision. And I haven’t had a cigarett since.

So, I am a happy vaper who never quit smoking!

Here is my testimony on why I started to vape:

I am a former 2.5 pack a day Menthol “lite” 100’s smoker and I sucked each one of those down. I started smoking at the age of 16. I did voluntarily quit smoking for both pregnancies, but it was not easy. The final decision on quitting came on Dec 3, 2013, when I was diagnosed with metastatic brain cancer, 3 tumors all not operable one on my motor skills, one on memory, one behind my left eye, and the one they are constantly concerned about is the one my brain stem. As you can imagine, I was floored when I got the news. I asked all the why me, I’m too young questions, so I had to make a change in my life. My husband drove me to a local brick and mortar store and I picked up my first Aspire VV Twist in rainbow and a Kangertech tank set up and my 22mg of e-liquid and as they say the rest is history. After roughly 30 years of smoking I never thought a simple device would work. No medications, no patches a simple device that helped me to quit the combustible tobacco roller coaster.

Today I am 100% tobacco free and I am loving life. I can breathe again. Vaping has saved my life. I will forever have these tumors and will be in and out of Chemo forever, but I will NEVER smoke again. I am lucky, my doctor SUPPORTS vaping as a true alternative to smoking. I am also proud my husband of almost 29 years FINALLY switched to vaping and is breathing better and not using his asthma inhaler like he had before. I will get to spend hopefully many many many more years together. We will NOT be a casualty of Big Tobacco and the pharmaceuticals making billions a year to keep us sick and in need of their “services”, I lost a very special Mother in Law whom I loved dearly who smoked for over 60 years, and I wish I had known about vaping because she may be here today.

I was honored to participate in a Suicide Bunny Testimonial video you can view here:

#IAMPROOF vaping works!

You are an invaluable resource in the fight for our right to continue to choose to be smoke free. Vendors, bottlers, manufacturers and shops are our first line of defense in educating and advocating about the myths and giving insightful information to quell many of the anti-propaganda with shabby testing bought and paid for by the very people who want to kill the vaping industry so the blood money from the deaths of THOUSANDS from smoking continues to pour in. Right now, we are sitting on the edge of this cliff…The FDA gave us time to do some studies, public testimony from both sides research and find ways we can cut the addiction associated with combustible tobacco products.

Unfortunately, shops, manufacturers and most importantly EVERY DAY VAPORS think we’ve been given a reprieve, and, in a way yes, we have however what people do NOT understand is that the States are now handing down ridiculous regulations, staggering taxes putting that is putting smaller shops out of business and their employees out of work to punish us for fighting. Our focus needs to be sharp on States, now.

The FDA will, I hope, come to many of the same conclusions the UK has but we cannot be complacent either or we will lose and lose big. My love of educating people about vaping, watching what each State and Federal FDA regulations are doing via legislation and educate them to support and help vapors to keep their rights to lifesaving devices that study after study has proven Vaping is helping smokers kick combustible tobacco habits better than any other smoking cessation product currently on the market to date that have been APPROVED FDA methods.

Politicians, Pharmaceuticals and Big tobacco are scrambling as they lose people every day who want to quit smoking and after using approved items by the FDA that has done nothing to help smokers switch but line their pockets with blood money leaving many either paying huge premiums to cover medical care from smoking related health issues, huge co-pays for the FDA approved methods, or they just keep smoking. They don’t care about helping people; they are more concerned about the largest money loss for Big Tobacco and Pharmaceutical companies in DECADES. Now with the FDA announcing their efforts to reduce nicotine in cigarettes, this will only line their pockets more because smokers will just purchase more to get the same fix they received from the cigarettes being used currently. this only means pharmaceuticals, States, Big Tobacco all win!

Great story, glad you are off the cancer sticks. I did hear there is a new drug to replace chemo, maybe that can help with your cancer.

I have always been a person that jumps in with both feet and at 15 I jumped into smoking a pack a day right off the bat. I have always smoked outside or in my car. In 1996 I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and smoking was the one thing that I felt I could still do and f the rest of the world. My kids also knew not to bother mom when she was having a smoke. It was my escape time.
I did try to quit numerous times. Pills made it impossible to get out of bed. Gum and mints taste like crap and hurt my mouth holding them between my teeth and gums. In 2011 I bought an ecig. That sucked but I could see then it had potential. In December last year I saw a Juul and jumped. The next day I smoked one cigarette. Went back a week later and they didn’t have the flavor I needed and said they were not getting anymore. On my way home I saw a vape shop and decided to stop. After talking to everyone that was in the shop (10 or so people) I walked out with a Smok Nord and 3 different juices.
Now, remember the MS? Yeah, well my specialist put me on a very strict keto diet in November. I was missing all my favorite holiday treats! Yes, I can make most in a keto version but seriously holiday parties really sucked for me.
Now back to the story. I walked out with a pecan pie, pumpkin pie and an apple pie. Bye bye cigarettes! Bye bye standing out in the cold to smoke! Hello my favorite desserts!
I did go back to cigarettes for a week because my last box of Nord coils were crap and the shop didn’t have any. I hated that week. I hated the taste, the smell, everything! I ordered a drag 2 mini and tank and went right back to vaping. Since then I have cut my nic from 12mg to 1mg. I want to cut down to 0mg in a month or so. I am also still on keto which has helped my MS along with the quitting smoking.
I have also upgraded my mod this month to a Topside dual with a Recurve Dual on top.
This is life changing. Guys I feel so much better! Life is good! I have even lost weight! I am also starting to make friends in the vape area!
