@Chefsteve42 man, that is a powerful story. I donā€™t mean to toss your personal success story into the recent ā€œbansā€ discussion/debate, but, yours is the story that should be sent to the media/president. Wow. Glad you got off the analogs.

Yep, 42 yrs smoking Winstonā€™s, pack and a half / two pack a day, never could quit. I remember saying if a pack of buttsā€™ ever hit $1.00 then Iā€™d quit. Well that came and went. Cat scan shows a black spot on right lung, gotta re-scan yearly now.
On August 6, 2016 walked into a local vape shop, VAPEsolutely in North Kingstown RI, (now closed since spring of 2017) they helped me get set up with an Innokin Coolfire and iSub tank. Tasted some juices at the vape bar and didnā€™t like any of the tobacco flavors, go figure. Bought a bottle of Space Jam Pluto and never picked up another cigarette from that moment on. From that moment onā€¦
Over 3 yrs now smoke free thanks to flavors now Banned in Rhode Island.
Big shout out to VAPEsolutely Owner Billy, if you happen to read this, thanks brother!

Side Note, I know 3 people that went back to cigaretteā€™s since the Ban on flavors was enacted in Rhode Island. Sad truth

Chefsteve. Your story touched me man, and I wish you continued good health. Altho Iā€™m a member of this great forum, I donā€™t post much, I did, at the beginning and received such great support. I as well was up to just about 2 packs tho I didnā€™t experience ( yet ) any noticeable effects. As soon as I experienced the vape, I was thankful for a lifeline out of this horrific abyss. If I have a temporary issue with my mod and have a cigarette, I simply can not finish it, itā€™s so tasteless, smelly, and frankly not as enjoyable. We all know this anti vaping bs is fraught with political and tobacco interests just chomping at the bit. I so wish i began vaping earlier. I guess you have much to be thankful for, and i wish you and all of the members a great Thanksgiving. Love you all and stay well.

I started smoking in school . till the age 33 i was a heavy smoker . In my last smoking days my right lung got so damaged and the doctor told me if i continue smoking there is no need to come see him again as he has no further advice to provide . By that time i was smoking 2 packs a day .

I searched for alternatives and vaping was not a popular topic in Egypt . I found that small community of vapors who are depending on a smaller number of people who smuggle the vaping products to the country and got a nautilus mini tank and a small aspire Mod called evic as i remember .

It was amazing that this was an alternative that provided some satisfaction and helped me to stop smoking . It was not a full replacement but without it i wouldnā€™t quit for sure . Finally i had something that provided me with real help . real satisfaction without the cigarettes .

in 6 months period i quit totally and my lung got fully recovered in a year . I owe my life and my health to vaping and i hope people will understand that they have a way out . they just need to be patient and try .

What was a small community in Egypt 4 years ago is now a large community can easily be counted as thousands that neither society nor even the government can ignore anymore and what was just a niche product is now a popular wanted product . We are now getting the same hustle and debates on vaping that vapors in US and Europe are getting and we are having the same so called ā€œhealth specialistsā€ who go on TV to call for a government crackdown on vaping products which by the way still illegal but now it is so easy to get and there are so many shops open even with no licenses .

Some days i ask myself how come that vaping is not described by doctors . I understand that it is not healthy but i am 100% sure that it is better to vape than to smoke . if there must be a choice so it is vaping no doubt .

They come in the news and say both smoking and vaping are not healthy . you donā€™t understand and you are trying to take a moral high ground . a smoker is the same as a drug addict . if he can just quit he would have done it years ago . if you can get him/her to vape this would be a life saving . donā€™t just go on TV and lecture us on something you wouldnā€™t be able to do .

And I think itā€™s replacing one bad habit with another. But less harmful to the body. So, it is very good that they came up with such an alternative to smoking. And the air is not so polluted as with cigarette smoke.

Thatā€™s completely dependent on where you live and/or work.

If you live in New York city, or Los Angeles for example (only two examples), the air quality could easily be equal to, and likely worse than, cigarette smoke. The same goes if you happen to live near (or downwind from) a chemical plant or petroleum refinery.

Itā€™s all relative.

So very proud of you Ahmed!!! Thatā€™s a great story! I feel the same way you do, vaping is a life saver and even to people who are dealing with COPD and seeing the positive changes when they switch to vaping. I follow Public Health England because I know for a fact vaping saved my life and thereā€™s nothing anyone can say to prove differently. I am my own proof that vaping is safer. Politicians are always about agendaā€™s whether it be voter base or personal stocks in tobacco or pharmacy smoking cessation products, or they are just not educated properly.

If I went back into respiratory therapy today I would tell all my COPD patients to start vaping. Iā€™d be fired but it would be worth it because it could save their lungs. Congratulations!!!

I tried cigs when I was 8 then I started smoking when I got 17 and smoked for two years. Then got back to cigs at 20 and smoked for 5 years and stopped with my friend. After 7 years back again with the stinkies. since then I have been smoking for about 3 years and I had difficult time breathing. Morning coughs and my lung weakness was really making me think to stop. So I tried vaping in 2017 and since then Iā€™m smoke free. Last year I tried snus because vaping still isnā€™t the best thing for your lungs but with bad results. Snus is much more stronger than cigs or vape but with a huge cost of teeth and gums diseases.

Overall the best nicotine intake is vaping as it simulates smoking and the lung feel.

January 1st 2012.
Bought a cheap ego ce4 type pen a week before and decided if i could tolerate the difference Iā€™d finish my golden virginia and switch.
Never looked back :+1:
Smoked for 25 years and along with the usual health concerns it was crippling financially.
Tobacco in the UK is taxed very heavily with a 20 pack currently costing around $15 US dollars.
Ive been vaping now for over 8 years and mixing my own juice for over 5 years.
If i could stop my self buying vape gear and new concentrates it would be pretty cheap Lol!

@RexRabbit, how many lumens on high? how many minutes can it stay on high (if itā€™s got thermal control)? in low mode (not ultra low where you can barely see your shoes) how long is the battery life? What size batteries (gotta have spares ya knowā€¦ canā€™t tell how far that hole goes). Will it charge my vape (Iā€™ll stay top side and you can go downā€¦ Iā€™m not leaving my vape behind) :joy:  :joy:
