A lot of these seem like a fun challenge and a good way to learn some new tricks and tips for bases/stones.
One base that I would find exciting would be a basic pink, American bubblegum base. There are so many components and different styles of bubblegum base flavors, and there are many bubblegum and other flavorings that can be combined to create an awesome flavor base.
Very interesting, I like that you included cinnamon spice and wintergreen, and of course banana, strawberry and pineapple. And jackfruit is a good idea as I read it has a bubblegum like taste. I also think a little bit of clove and vanillin is in a classic bubblegum too.
It would be fun to try and create a bubblegum from scratch without bubblegum flavoring.
There are some good newer bubblegum flavors out now as well. I bought the last bottle of Bubba Gum (SC) (WF) from BCF 50% off collection and it has an old school bubblegum flavor. Bubblegum (Pink) (TFA) is a pretty accurate new flavor, but it lacks spice. And American Bubble Gum (Molinberry) is great and has spice and wintergreen notes.
I’ve also recently been getting into root beer flavoring and I want to also try and create a root beer from scratch without using actual root beer flavoring.
Okay folks, sorry for the delay on our January winner. We got stuck and couldn’t come to a consensus, just goes to show how good our mixers are! So we had to do a spin-off on the randomizer for our grand prize winner.
Also remember that our 2 finalists were chosen at random, so it doesn’t take any credence away from the rest of the submissions, I’m sure if we had to test them all it would have been just as difficult…
I would also like to thank Barry at TheAlchemistsCupboard for helping us obtaining gift vouchers for our long overdue December UK winner and our January UK winner, he even helped us with the exchange rate which added value to the gift vouchers.
Way to go Barry! We appreciate your time and effort to help us make things right.
Also a shout out to Wayne and Kayleigh at FlavourCraver who also helped us with a gift voucher. Great ppl over there at FlavourCraver and very active in the diy community!
