I was thinking of drilling a hole right through the battery door and putting a long screw through it right into the front screw hole in the chassis have not gotten around to it yet.

Omg if you can figure out a fix please share I love my IPV8 but don’t like to cary it all the time because of that door… nothing like driving down the 2 lane highway at 60 mph and fishing for batteries that fell under or between the seats

Or you could just get a cover, it looks like it would hold the door closed!

The covers don’t work - i have emailed the manufacturer asking for a new door and latch assembly and got no reply - one that i have the whole battery latch broke off (the other is ok) - i will grab a few screws and rig something up one day. I think the screw size is m1.5 or m1.4 just have to find a bit of free time to play with it.

I just got an IPV8 and am really liking it. Had a Smok Alien before, and honestly I enjoy the trimmed down interface. Less settings, less on screen information = better battery life.
I did see a review on youtuber where the guy actually takes the mod apart and discovers that the internals are the EXACT same as the IPV6x, the circuit board even has IPV6 printed on it. it just has a different shell.

Is this the one that is covetable between two and four batteries? I’ve been looking at it for my replacement mod. BTW Element Vape has great prices as well as great people to work with if you have a problem down the line.

You could always redneck it with bailing wire and twine. Or rubber bands lol
