I almost never use sweetner. Only 1 drop
super sweet in 30ml cherry crush, and thats enough. If i go 2 or 3 drops in a 30ml liquid bottle its way to sweet, its like vaping on pure sugar :face_vomiting:

yeah a touch of sweetener can really make some fruits pop & generally lift the entire recipe, i personally use between 0.5-0.75% depending on the recipe, 0.5 is kinda my blanket % for everything but sometimes recipes need that extra kick just to make flavours burst, so to speak, lol. I also agree some sweeteners do leave a nasty sugary syrupy aftertaste though, especially cap super sweet & tpa sweeteners i cant use those but most people like to. FW is a good one, so is flv sweetness, but purilum super sweet is my favourite.

On another note, give the fa forest fruit a try, its a wonderful flavour imo, one of my favourite single flavours that actually held up as a single flavour, i do sometimes vape just that alone. WF tropical gummy is another one i can vape on its own, i love that flavour, probably my favourite fruit overall as a stand alone & you dont really ever see it mentioned but i think its fantastic.

:v::heart:

Flavor west double minty gum is really good out of a pod or Mtl rta at 7%. I definitely recommend that. Itā€™s got the mint taste but doesnā€™t really have the cooling to it which Iā€™m not a big fan of. Taste just like the green wrigleys doublemint.

Update, ok so after testing, i tried the flavors that i bought at low 2-3 % and 10%, and i stil dont taste them :man_shrugging::upside_down_face: exept for the sweet watermelon, 8% was way to high. Gonna go for 2% next test. I think im going to stop buying fruit flavors because most of them i just dont taste, not even at higher %. I mix at 50/50 or 60vg. Vape with 0.6pods mtl. Now tobacco flavors, peppermint and custard v2 cap are not an issue, i use 2 to 5% and the taste is pretty good and strong. Fruit flavors are not realy for me i gues, my taste pallette just dont pick them up.

Someone will probably know way more than meā€¦ but i am also mixing for a pod kit mtl 50/50 5mg strength and I have had awful problems with lack of flavours and thats using both high and low % rates varying between brands. Some results are better than others!! I dont think the pod kits are powerful enough for some flavours. Just wanted to say you are not alone!! I have only managed a couple of mixes which have been repeated out of loads! But trial and error, more error for me!

Its annoying isnā€™t it :see_no_evil:, im using the xross pro and xross 3, because i dont like RDL or DTL i stick with loose MTL podkits but wil buy only the top branches of whats available in my country. I think im just gonna go back to tobacco , desert and mint flavors. If anyone reads this from belgium and wants to trade my fruit flavors for tobacco or deserts etc , hit me a private message, wel work it out. Would be a waste of money to throw all of these flavors in the bin.

I think I read on here that dessert flavours donā€™t come out the best flavour layers etc in pod kits! A bit complicated for the power wattage available and small size coils. I prefer dessert flavours. But I also bought some one shots flavours like a vanilla creamy custard and a biscuit one and an apple pie etc and the taste of the one shots came out fine in the pod kit which I use, an oxva xlim pro 2 with 0.8 coil. So it is possible!! Nic salts of course are great in it but i feel are limited to a lot of fruit varieties. Good luck!

Wel ive only tried 2 vanilla custards from CAP and i liked them very much! I use arround 5%, almost daily vape after 1 year :slightly_smiling_face:. Gues i am going to try different desert and tobacco flavors from now on. No more fruit flavors for me

Yeah the capella vanilla custard v1 worked in my kit and I added 3% Inawera shisha vanilla to it in a mix which made it slightly less eggy and preferable for my tastes!! I only quit smoking in March and havent stepped up from a pod kit yet. I mentioned in my local vape shop about looking to get a box mod kit next yearā€¦ he said a complicated box mod tank set up too early on into vaping is like buying a ferrari after just passing your test!! Its something I want to look at for improvement and flavours.
I am sorry your fruit mixes havenā€™t gone as you hoped for. Its disheartening sometimes! Ive managed to use some of my disaster mixes by adding some of the commercial sweet strong flavour nic salts and thatā€™s then been vapable!!
I hope you can find some success with your future recipes. And donā€™t give up on the thought of diy !

I get you, i smoked for 22 years, i am now 2 years off the smokes thanks to vaping! :muscle: never going back to smoking, the world of vaping is just to awesome :slightly_smiling_face:

Yeah I smoked a packet a day for 33 years and had never had any success quitting for longer than 24 hours until vaping! I just tried a capella sweet strawberry ice I made 2 weeks ago and its nice!! Just that on its own cos wanted to see what the flavour was without combining it. The flavour really is very good in the pod kit so some must be pod kind and others not so much!!
Really glad you too are enjoying vaping.

I disagree with the vape shop. Stonger mods/coils are easy enough to learn. Iā€™m an electronic idiot and never had an issue navigating a new mod; should mention I only use regulated mods and I generally vape 0.3 resistance coils. Besides you have many here to help if you have questions. Youtube is a good tool for learning about what type of mod/tank you might prefer.

highly recommend this one, easy and great. One of the best recipes for mtl/pod

And I agree with @Letitia and would actually suggest you buy yourself a cheap and cheerful MTL kit. Just buy something thatā€™s meant for a beginner with for example a simple variable wattage only. I donā€™t know what pod youā€™re using but hopefully it has disposable coils other than disposable complete pods. If it does utalise complete disposable pods then the coils only would be cheaper too Iā€™m sure. As time progresses and you become happier with the set up you could if you wanted buy yourself a cheap MTL rebuildable tank and save some more. Plus youā€™re not locked into the manufacturers coils and when they decide to stop selling them.
Building coils etc may seem daunting but it honestly isnā€™t difficult.
Apologies if Iā€™ve gone astray here.

Yes am sorry Iā€™ve managed to take this off on a tangent! I shall start a new thread with questions about a mod tank kit! Thanks ror the advice and info however. As always really helpful

One of my favorites is FLV Sweet Crunchā€¦ Iā€™m not gonna lie I havenā€™t had it stand alone exactlyā€¦ But with 2% Bavarian cream. It takes exactly like frosted flakes and it can be vaped overnight. Sweet crunch is definitely the dominant flavor. Not even sure what the Bavarian cream does tbh, cause I donā€™t really taste it. It gets a lot better with time, but I love it because Iā€™m impatient so I SnV it. Itā€™s nice to find a bakery flavor that can actually be SnV.

Iā€™ve been adding way too much to my recipe, Iā€™ve been putting like 3-4%. I think just 1-2% sweet crunch would be fine. I ran out and only put in .7% and it still tasted flakey, was not full flavor though.
