NEW TPA/TFA 2025 Flavors Reviewed by SessionDrummer

Strawberry (Splash) (TPA) 4.5% (10-28-25) – This one goes out to my brother @TorturedZen. Alright guys, this one was a SMASH (not splash) hit, right out of the gate. From the MFG …“Juicy and vibrant, this flavor leans into sweet strawberry notes with the refreshing notes of a summertime drink.” To my tastes, this one had a LOT more saturation, presence, and “snap” than the previously tested Strawberry (Fresh). I had a distinct opinion on the 3 main profiles on this one from the start, and that didn’t change at the end. I got clear juicy red, and white strawberries, mixed on top of (maybe) a light lemonade flavor. NOW, before you guys start thinking this was a simple SB Lemonade, it wasn’t. It tasted like TPA gently layered in the Lemonade far below the Strawberries (red, and white) just to ACCENT them, not to PARTNER with them. “… of a summertime drink.”. 3 testers later, my assessment didn’t change.

At 4.5% it was spot on strong and not lacking at all, and I’d rate at a 9.5/10 on the strength scale. Sweetness was just above mid-level, and it was very enjoyable. With the pairing of both red and white strawberries, it really filled up the “spectrum” leaving even just the SB profile as complex, and adding in the very light but present lemonade just kicked the whole flavor up another two notches. The sweetness was kept in check by a some nicely placed tart notes. All in, this one was a winner in my book. Red and white strawberries, perfectly paired with a light/er lemonade carrier. BBA (Big Bottle Approved). Releasing the Kraken on this one folks. 10/10, no hesitation. More than just a simple sweet strawberry.

I just put it in my cart. I think it’s about time I get back into strawberry again (it’s only been about 10 yrs lol). The tiny splash of lemonade might be my acceptable introduction to anything lemon. Let me know how you’re enjoying it.

Actually, I went for the Berry Jam and the SB (Splash). I need to stir things up a bit with my ADVs. I’m finally getting a little tired of the same ole. I’m not one of those vapers who likes to vape something different everyday. I find what I like and hold on to it for posterity, lol. Time to shake it up! Thx for the boost.

Okay, that one is going in the cart, too. Fruit seems to be in my near future. A bit late for summer but I’ve always been slow.

Tangerine (TPA) 4.5% (11-1-25) – After a little delay, finally got into this one. As a disclaimer, I am not a huge fruit guy, but I LOVED this flavor. Super spot on accurate Tangerine with every nuance you could ask for from the fruit body, AND, a very accurate citrus oil/zest on the finish. That’s it in a nutshell, and if you need to tangerine, this one will get it done. The fruit body notes tasted very natural, and while not overly sharp or punchy, had an almost slight blood orange undertone, which helped “fatten” up this one into more of a full spectrum tangerine. At times I got a very light, almost grapefruit nuance to it, and although that might sound strange, absolutely worked.

At 4.5% it was great, and felt like an 8.75/10 on the strength scale. Sweetness was a tick or two below mid level, and I literally GAVE UP trying to find a single nit-pick, off-note, or even a “want” with this one. I’m already working on a “Tangerine-A-Cream”, and it’s tasting great. If you want a very natural Tangerine, this one should be already in your cart. Fairly complex, full bodied, and with slight Blood Orange, and very light Grapefruit notes, and a stellar citrus oil/zest finish. Smooth, and accurate, with just enough citrus tart to keep you coming back. From the “not fruit” guy, this one was a winner. Releasing the Kraken again, and 10/10’ing this one, all day long.

Watermelon Juice (TPA) 4.5% (11-1-25) – With this being the LAST flavor in this 16 flavor series, (Sweetener will be next), I was torn between two profiles on this one. The first was a kind of, pretty close WM Juice, and the second was more of a Candied WM sweetened by a Golden Syrup. While it wandered between both during my tests, the latter seemed to be more prevalent. I emphasize Candied WM over a WM Candy, as the Watermelon was in the front, not the candy profile. I felt the sweetener came across as a bit darker than a simple white sugar sweetener, which is why I defined it as more of a Golden Syrup, which opened up some darker notes. At 4.5% it was pretty strong, and far more saturated than the previously tested WM Sour Candy, and I’d give this one a 9/10 on the strength scale.

No overt off-notes to be found in this one. The watermelon notes leaned heavily artificial with slight natural notes, and as stated above, had an interesting dark/er undertone. All in, not a bad flavor, BUT, not entirely sold on the “juice” aspect. Candied watermelon, mostly artificial with hints of natural, with a somewhat darker sugared undertone, with it being more of a candied watermelon as opposed to a juice. Leaving it at a 8.5/10.

Sweetener (Stevia) (TPA) 2.5% (11-1-25) – Only for YOU guys do I test straight sweetener. I specifically tested this one at 2.5% and wanted to see EXACTLY how it tasted at somewhat higher than normal usage rates. As many of you probably know Stevia’s CAN indeed have a bitter, and/or “twangy” finish, so THAT is what I was looking for. TPA hasn’t updated their Compound List for this Sweetener (Stevia) yet, but I’ll keep an eye on it and let you all know. Stevia can be a great alternative to Sucralose, and EM, with a cleaner, less “gunkier” experience. Most times however it comes down to the Reb (A, D, or M) that they use.

With all that out of the way, at 2.5% this one tasted VERY clean, with NO bitterness, and NO aftertaste at the finish. That is/was actually impressive. I cannot tell if it is pure Stevia, or a mix, but it was clean tasting, lingered slightly after the finish, and tasted very good. There was a VERY slight earthy-ness on the finish, but remember, I’m rolling this solo’d at 2.5%, so I’m going to call it clean as a whistle. At 2.5% it surprisingly didn’t “bloom” or wasn’t cloyingly sweet, but again, this is at 2.5%, solo’d without any other interaction, but I’ll be picking up a bigger bottle and testing it with custards, bakeries, and of course fruits. Clean, no bitterness, no aftertaste and only a whisper of earthy undertones on the finish. Leaving this, the LAST tester in this series very high, at a 9.8/10.

Whew, even 16 flavors can be a bit of work LOL. If you have made it here, then you’ve done your part. I appreciate you giving up some of your free time to read these reviews, and I hope they help guide you somewhat through these new flavors. As always, single flavor testing is VERY important in understanding flavors as opposed to just mashing them up, and seeing what happens LOL. The BEST flavor tester however, is always you. Thanks for reading …

Thank you! As always, your reviews are invaluable. All the work you put into them is so appreciated.

I love me some jam. I’ll be picking it up, I can’t not :upside_down_face: But with the likes of Nomz Strawberry and Raspberry Jam and OOO Jam already on my rack, I’m curious where you see this Berry Jam sitting. Does it hold its own profile? Act in a supporting role? Clash with existing flavors?

Thanks a lot @2whiskymike.

The jammy-ness of it cannot be overstated. Not quite to the level of Flavor Labs SB Jam, but it’s damned jammy. Not only did I 10/10 it, it’s berry profile was interesting. Strawberry, BUT with an unidentified darker berry or berries thrown in. Because of that, I quantify it as unique, and that almost always opens up a spot on one of my racks.
