i considered summariZing my methodology but i always think people wont care
next time i will
No worries… you just did comment!
@warkwarth I care.
Even if I don’t have any of the flavors in someone’s recipe, I still like getting their take on how their choices work. I read their remarks in case I might be looking for a new brand that may work well with something totally different that I’m trying to make. ![]()
Hope you enjoy it!
Heres my entry -
Does this count as a comment in the thread?

hope someone else finds it good!
This is way out of my comfort zone, but it tastes DAMN good, if I may say so myself. Also worked on a straight fruit mix this month, but this one is better. It actually tastes like a cronut with an apple-pear filling. Try it! ![]()
I see you put the Apple Filling to good use. How do you like it?
I feel like I need a welcome back sign, I’ve been gone for so long. It’s been a helluva 2 months.
So I didn’t single flavor test, I just went off notes. I don’t like a lot of cinnamon so I used low to give a filling vibe. I think I could have done 1%, it’s good! Thank you!
Glad to see you come back. You’re a staple around here! I hear ya on the “helluva” part. I can relate.
I’d like to thank everyone that voted for “Pear/Apple” (I voted for Halloween Candy - haha). It nudged me to dive into an idea I had years ago but never developed - Pear & Honeysuckle Wine. I’m very pleased with the result and I hope you will be too.
Beneath moss-draped oaks, three ageless sisters pour their shimmering brew — pear nectar, honeysuckle bloom, and champagne fizz. Each draw is a soft kiss of sweetness and sin. Sip the nectar, feel the joy… beware the price.
Still could use some tweaking, but im out of time. LOVE the Ginger and Pear notes, and I’m enjoying it. Just not entirely what i was hoping to achieve.
No time for much this month…Want tonrevisit this but im happy where its headed
.
That looks very interesting. Quince Jelly is my secret recipe for some mixes. I think it gets overlooked for its versatility.
Yes - it’s a great flavor. But it’s hard to find - at least in the US.
Wow, what a nice turnout we had for October. Lots of great looking recipes! We really appreciate the community participation and support ![]()
