You will find most flavors are already in the database. When you’re building a recipe and start typing the flavor name, you should get a popout listing flavors with the letters you just entered. For example, if you type str you should start seeing all the stuff with strawberry in the name. That popout has a scroll you can use to find the correct entry. However, @daath pointed out a much better method some time back where you use 3 letters for each word of a flavor that has multiple words. For example, Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. You can type van bea ice cre and this will hone in on the specific name. Then you can just scroll to the correct one. Another thing I like to do is if I want to find a specific flavor/vendor quickly, I’ll type the first 3 letters and then a left parenthesis and the first letter or two of the vendor name. Example - to find Strawberry from Flavorah I would type str (fl and the results would be like this…
As you can see, my desired flavor shows up first.
The reason I mention this is the flavor database (as of now) is a community db so every entry done by anyone is accessible by everyone. This makes duplicates and incorrect entries a problem and right now there are only 2 people working to correct these. So we need everyone’s help to minimize dupes and mistakes. So please everyone, do your diligence to make sure the flavor isn’t already in the database before you enter a new name and click save. Thanks!!
I’ve never shared a recipe that is private/new, so I figured what the hell…why not
I am moving in just under 3 weeks, so I won’t have access to my stash for probably the next month. Instead of just vaping my usual ADVs, I thought I would vape a new creation, every other day!
The problem is, is my stash is 2 years old by now, so I have no idea if they have lost potency or not. They all seem to be just the same as they were when I bought them, but who knows. I also used a lot of creams in these, not because I love them (I do), but because I wanted to use what I had a shitload of.
Anyways, if anyone is interested, this is what I did the other day.
Ignore the names. I will name them properly, if they are worthy of it.
Yeah, sorry. I usually go 8-14% on my personal juices but I went with a cap of 20%, so I can burn through some of this inventory!! There’s a few that go over 20, but they contain VG flavors.
Want to know the worst part about buying 100s of flavors at the same time is? Having to buy 100s of flavors again, when they run out…
Like we talked earlier I don’t think I will immediately replace every single one. I will replace what I use often but not the once in a while things. There are just too many of mine expiring as well. I am starting a list and adding to it once things run out I change it in my stash and make notes of what’s replacing it.
Thanks for sharing! Not only insightful (as to mixing style) but also some great ideas in there I’m sure I wouldn’t have thought of!
Seeing your ratios on several brands I love (and have been learning to mix with over the last year) is very reassuring that I’ve been on the right path. =D
(along with a few others here of course). What I’m trying to spit out is: it’s nice to have yet another confirmation! For where I’m at, it’s just a matter of “balance refinements” I think.
Once I have more substantial time “balancing”, I feel like the next stage might be “bending” (I know that’s a good ways off though, or at least it feels like it) lol
Still a WIP, but as a SNV the taste is phenomenal. Even my husband who only vapes fruit and candy liked this mix.
As of right now it’s been steeping 5 days, and the brightness of the rf strawberry sc has diminished just a tad but the red touch fills it out and I think will help bring the strawberry flavor through a longer steep.
Inspired by @Nappen on Discord a few days ago. There’s an Elderflower/Lime cider he likes. I’ve never had that personally, but thought I’d take a stab at the profile for a vape. Just now mixed it and gave it a test drive. Not too shabby. Thanks Nappen for the inspiration.
Thanks. The typically boisterous FLV Lime seems a bit subdued as it’s competing against the Elderflower. May need to bump that up some but will give it a few days. But so far seems to be a good pairing!
