Questions about bottles and labels

Where does everyone get their bottles from? I like the plastic but I ordered some and they seem to stiff. I dont want to waste any more money trying to find the right ones. I’m still fairly new to this but I’m really loving and and my inventory has been growing to the point in happy for now. Except I need bottles and some descent labels. The ones i used soak up juice and peel off :frowning:

2 things come to mind. Amazon and Amazon. The bottles you got are probably hard PET bottles. Pain in the tookus to use. I know from someone ordering those bottles. Not to name any names, cough, @TheTinMan1, cough. Try looking up TOPWEL on Amazon. Pretty wide variety. Labels, look for waterproof and able to write with a permanent marker or use shipping labels and word.

Yep they were from Amazon. I almost used them but I left em as a last resort because I can tell they will be super annoying! Thank you I’m going to do some searching right now

Labels is still an area I have to perfect. Getting there but not any time soon.

For smaller (10/15/30ml) plastic bottles I go with eBay. I get my 100ml from here.

Here is the difference in the bottles.

The one on the left (foggy) is better in my opinion.

I use these labels: https://www.amazon.com/Avery-Durable-Labels-Diameter-22856/dp/B01MCZRE1P

and

these bottles: https://www.amazon.com/CLEAR-Boston-Round-Glass-Bottle/dp/B00JG4XC10/ref=sr_1_11?s=industrial&ie=UTF8&qid=1491967305&sr=1-11&keywords=120+ml+glass+bottle

For daily carry I use 30ml unicorn bottles.

This is where I get most of my bottles. I like them because you can choose your cap color and style plus I order extra colors to coordinate with the flavor. The plastic ones are bulk only but you’ll probably use them all eventually.

But I’ve also gotten some from Bullcity, com they’re just more expensive.

For labels I’m still using white electrical tape for testers and office labels covered in scotch tape for everything else, lol.

If you dont mind waiting for shipping (slow boat)
I order all my plastic bottles off these guys- they are the soft ones as @Skullblade789 pointed out I like them over the pet bottles as well. These one have a very thin tip which makes filling some tanks a heap easier - not sure how the price compared with Amazon and the shipping while free will definitely take longer. Caps are child proof type with the little triangle on the top if that is important to you.

Had a muck around @Skullblade789 it is a bit rudimentary use don’t use I wont be offended - If you want i can shoot you the psd file and the fonts used. Dont feel obligated I just had some spare time lol.

The shipping is expensive so buy a lot of bottles that will last a long time. This is a good company and they have every kind of bottle you can imagine at a great price.

If you buy them from e-bay you have no idea what was stored in them before you buy them. I have had ebay bottles show up smelling like cheap perfume and chemicals. Everything you get from this company will be clean and new.

I agree it is hard to find a good source of cheap (ish) bottles - the source i posted are all new - i still clean all of them prior to use as everyone should.

Yep, I clean everything with boiled chlorinated water. (Trust no one)

I know you said plastic, but have you considered glass dropper bottles? I started out using all plastic and they hold onto flavors so badly that I just kept throwing them out. Glass is super easy to clean most flavors out of and you can reuse them over and over again. Amazon has some great deals on glass bottles. For labels I personally use paper and packing tape. It works fine and keeps the juice off the paper ( especially on glass where you’re not squeezing the bottle).

I use a Brother P2200 label maker with the laminated tape. Juice proof and far more readable then my hieroglyphics on masking tape was. Peals easy and clean if you change contents too.

SKS is good

Nicotine River has authentic Chubby Gorilla bottles

I use these 30ml from Amazon for all my testing 50/$16

I use a Brother P-touch 1750 and a Brother QL-700 for most labels, dots like @Amy2, and Ball canning dissolvable labels.

For glass [Amber and/or Blue Cobalt] I check current prices between SKS, Specialty Bottle, and Amazon.

@Jazzy_girl as mentioned ^^^^^ PET bottles ARE stiffer than LDPE. I use both, for different purposes. I use the stiffer PET for long storage of juice and flavorings. I use the softer LDPE for testers, general vaping, and shipping, etc.

PET:

LDPE:

For my Nicotine which I store in the freezer, I break down my 500ml and 1L bottles into smaller 30ml/60ml amber glass:

For my larger 120ml/+ long steepers or for sale/shipping I use black PET with twist tops from SKS Bottles: (as mentioned above)
https://www.sks-bottle.com/340c/fin157d.html

For testers, I don’t waste money on expensive labels and just use Dots:

For anything I sell, I use nice B/W labels on 1.17" tape using the QL710W Wireless Labeler:

I shrink many of my bottles and have had VERY mixed results with the shrink bands on Amazon (the light blue ones), and ended up using the (clear/yellow) style from KKEMC:

Ultimately glass is ALWAYS the best container, but it’s not always convenient. Different plastics will resist chemicals more or less than others, others are softer, easier to use but won’t stand up as long vs. chemicals, etc.
