Totally off topic. Nah, itā€™s an idea Iā€™ve been batting around for 2 years now and just finally got the space and methodology put together. Now I just need to finalize the invite process.

Haha got it now lol

Please keep us updated on the launch when itā€™s ready, sounds exciting? That would keep me busy for awhile

Thatā€™s a shame. Iā€™ve had bad experiences with them so I donā€™t use them anymore.

seriously? for real?

I have a lot of local customers who buy my mixes face to face but sometimes it gets out of hand in how to handle purveying to people without wasting a lot of my time meeting them up. On top of that, Iā€™ll get random emails or PMs asking how someone can get a flavor, and I donā€™t have an easy way to handle it.

The e-liquid market is seriously oversupplied right now and a lot of vendors are hurting whereas others are doing gangbusters. I donā€™t want to compete in the open market. I want to do something differently. Invite-only, vetted high quality customers who can ā€œvoteā€ their good friends in ā€“ and instead of charging for the juice, Iā€™ll use the juice as a platform for self-promoting in all the other things I do.

I like the idea of controlling supply and controlling who gets access to it. I also think monetizing ā€œfreeā€ is possible. Whatā€™s the worst that can happen? I pay a year of rent on a small business studio and maybe a few grand in supplies. Not really a huge risk if you think of how much an actual juice line can cost to get moving.

Could you explain (ya donā€™t have to go into detail (yet)) on how these raw extracts may be used as opposed to standard flavorings?

Hey @Walt_RealFlavors, got any raw extracts of this coming in the future?

Raw extracts are unmixed, undiluted, and freshly extracted blends. Think like that other flower company. These are 8-10x stronger than a flavor. So if you used 7% in a blend. You would want to start with .7 - 1% of these instead. 1 30ml bottle of extract equals ā€œup toā€ 10 oz of flavoring.

So take the apple flavor and compare it to the apple flavoring.

Our apple flavor has other items blended in to it to give it that sour tart pop while also giving you the raw smell of apples. Apple extract is literally the results of the extraction process of pure real apples. So the next question isā€¦ Are they the same taste? Oddly not always. While we use raw extracts in the blending process of making a flavor, these are not 100% the same.

I have a few I am working on. Sadly tobacco flavors are not my strength. Once I get a few samples I promise to give out a beta box.

Thatā€™s awesome! :grinning:

Even if you carried something like a tobacco absolute, that would be nice.

That would be awesome as well! Iā€™d be happy to mixā€™em up and write up reviews on any tobacco concentrates you produce.

Tip: When you do get around to making tobacco concentrates, a mixing ratio between .25% and 5% in the recipe would be the goal (super concentrated). Most tobacco folks will dismiss a concentrate which requires more than 6% or more in the mix. :triumph:

If anyone else was wanting a tiny bottle of Cookies and Cream (RF) - GremlinDIY has it on their website as of last night (and some the other newer flavors too - probably nothing from the very newest batch yet tho).

Just got 10 of the newly released flavors in and mixed them up, while itā€™s too early to comment on most of them as they need to steep, I can say that the Cherry Pie is every bit as on point as the Bread Pudding, those of you that have tried the bread pudding will know what I mean.

The crust to filling ratio is spot onā€¦ perfect! Which kind of surprised me because when testing out the apple pie I found the apples dominated the pie crust.

The pie filling is AMAZING! Youā€™ll notice both the sweetness that comes from the cherries being boiled down and sugar being added IRL Cherry Pie as well as the tartness from the actual cherry, as sour cherries are traditionally used in cherry pie.

As for the use crust, Iā€™m getting hints of a ā€œbaked onā€ granulated sugar topping. For those of you that have tried Waltā€™s Cinnamon Custard or Cinnamon Toast youā€™ll notice that the cinnamon notes have a distinctive cinnamon sugar taste to them. Iā€™m getting that same granulated sugar taste here minus the cinnamon.

For those of you that are picking up some of the new releases from Real Flavors Iā€™d urge you to make sure that throw Cherry Pie into your cart as itā€™s definitely a must have.

I think that i am just going to start making them all in smaller batches and hit them with just a bit of heat, for homogenization purposes, and try and vape them right away. Tasted them direct from the bottles and the flavors are perfect.

Thanks for the write up, i reckon ill add it to the list.

Even though I know theyā€™re going to change over time, especially being VG based, I always go ahead and test them right away because it helps with my notes, knowing how they change over time and obviously the more notes the betterā€¦ That and Iā€™m terribly impatient and curious, lol

Plus its really nice when you think you have a mediocre or just ā€œpretty good, but nothing specialā€ flavor" that turns out to be something special.
