Sorry to necro, but I just wanted to ask if you’ve ever had issues with parafilm melting when using certain aromatics?
i have not had any issues at all , i only use it to cover the top of a beaker or flask once the flavors are mixed with pg and vg , so there is actually no contact with and liquids of any kind , i would recommend something else due to the cost of parafilm i only use it because its available to me for free ( a friend bought a bunch ) it does work great though

I mix with a hand held paint mixer I bought on Amazon for $12 and then a 10 minute hot water bath. This cuts steeping time on everything. Fruit mixes require very little if any steeping. Custards and bakery flavors do get better with age IMO, and the color gets darker, but are still tasty S&V. I never use plastic and would not use a microwave personally, but whatever works for you.
