Steve-O Milkshake base

Bakewell has cherry in it but it suppose to mimic a bakewell tart. So the cherry should be slight on it

So its not something you would want in a shake lol.

Black cherry fa 2.5% and cherry juice fa 1% makes a nice cherry with no off notes. I do add black cherry mf at .5% and ripe cherry ssa at 1.25% and it really presents itself nicely. Red cherry molinberry is a good one too. Very smooth vibrant cherry. But as cherrys are on they own they do tend to mellow so i need to mix with multiple cherries so i dont have to go to high and the run into the medicinal or floral off notes.

Cherry Delight Sasami is one big step above all SSA cherries, however it’s a Morello Cherry (which isn’t bad since way more useful and flavorful). Natural, slightly cooked, but not too much, slightly syrupy, but not jammy; not candy or artificial in any way. Perfectly balanced to allow bending in any desired direction, with a convincing smell, it’s not shy, it likes to ride on top and it doesn’t get lost in a recipe. Useful for any fruity/bakery mix, cherry lemonade, best for creams / ice creams, yogurt or with dark chocolate or just plain homemade cherry liqueur (it reminds me most on those morello cherries in liqueur without a liqueur). Top class and highly usable flavor, i’d probably put it in top 5 fruity flavors; hard to be improved, not looking for a better version.

How is Milkshake Dairy SSA? No notes anywhere how it is compared to other milkshakes.

That’s not the one; that’s just typical cherry (based on the pic).

It was sold under the name Cherry Delight at Nomnomz until recently, so i assume that was the name (they didn’t change names but just translated them). Now based on sasami website (based on the pic), this could be the one (but you better ask them)

I do have it but I don’t think I have used it yet or tested it. Sorry I can’t be of more help here.

I use SSA Juicy Cherry, its not a cough drop nasty tasting cherry but it def tastes like the name implies and been a nice overall Cherry for colas, bakeries and for wherever you want really as it plays nice in a mix in the .25-.75% range. All 3 of their Cherries are note worthy and cover a lot of needs i felt after a few tests and mixes.

I agree, SSA cherries are not bad and they have their uses and i also use them now and then. It’s just that Cherry Delight is another level; i wish we’d had similar Raspberry or SB or Currant or…

Very agree @Mikser. I mean they’re all Cherries, BUT, still fairly different.

I have to make some time, to try and get a hold of that one.

It’s a pity i haven’t ordered some other Sasami fruits while NN still had them. I asked them one month ago if i can order a specific Sasami flavor that they have (and i would pay a normal price = x4 compared to what they have now), but i was denied; not possible. Too late, they won’t get them back. :slightly_frowning_face:

Cant say ive tried Cherry delight to know if any of ssa would work tbh. They do have Compote Cherry that’s like a candied jolly rancher type cherry that quite strong but spot on rancher, good for shakes ,ice creams or straight cherry, iced etc
