Storing and organizing your DIY supplies?

I use nail polish bottle holders from Amazon. Works well for me.

That’s great info @Guido_Possum , thanks

This one caught my eye as nice a discreet storage solution.

Woo-Hoo! Finally sorted my storage problem out. Well, for the short-term at least . I was talking to the Projects Manager at work a while ago and bemoaning the fact that I had bought yet more flavors and had nowhere to store them when he asked me why and how many I had. After explaining it all to him (he’s a non-smoker/non-vaper) I casually mentioned what my ideal “fix” for this would be. He then offered to make me something up as woodworking was a hobby of his. This is the final result and I couldn’t be happier .

Here’s the storage cabinet fully closed. Excluding the base, it only measures 40cm wide x 69cm high x 18cm deep. That’s roughly 16” x 27” x 7” for non-metric people out there.

It opens out as below and again if you open up by the other handle seen on the right hand side.

Here’s all my non-FLV flavors.

As mentioned before, this is how it looks with the second door opened. Room for all of my FLV flavors and the others as well.

From another angle.

And finally, just the FLV bottles.

At a rough guess I reckon I now have enough room to buy myself another 35 flavors or so . Happy Days!

Yeah, thanks mate. Feels good too (bees wax rub). It’s like a “temporary” weight has been lifted from my shoulders :relieved:.

Wow! Love the double door concept. He could sell those to supplement his wood working hobby.

If he’s a drinker you might gift him an inexpensive bottle, if you can. Nothing too fancy.

@St3v0 @SessionDrummer @Letitia @Cary1 @SolteroDIY @JiM210

Thanks for the kind words . Yeah, everybody at work said pretty much the same.

@jinx_d yeah, I’d feel pretty bad if I didn’t compensate him in some way. Offered to pay what he thought was reasonable (including his time) but he said not to worry about the labour as he considered it a good learning experience. I ended up just slipping him $175.00 AUD or roughly $135.00 USD (basically just cost of materials). He could buy himself a few “inexpensive” bottles with that @Jim210 . As far as I’m concerned it was a bargain :+1:.

Ha-Ha! @jinx_d what I mean by “temporary” is that sooner or later (sooner I reckon) I wouldn’t be surprised if I ran out of room again. After reading those reviews from @SessionDrummer, I might just be tempted to order some SSA flavors . Damn this “rabbit hole”…

thats what i thought. = have him make you another one. or, you could just put your more used flavors in that one, and the others in a contained.

It’s a nice piece of work. I showed it to my wife and she got excited and said she could make one. I buy her power tools as presents.

Yes and she’s single. She’s built like a linebacker which is great for the heavy projects that require muscle.
