That’s funny!
I hope so. If you hear anything let me know, I’ve been a driver for 15 years. I’d be thrilled to deliver vape gear.
I didn’t want to say anything when I first met you and you said you had just returned from overseas but…what I wanted to say was, why the hell did you come back…especially now?
I just tweeted the White House. Just a brief reminder that 30 million US adults vape and we vote. Oh and also I shamed them about permitting alcohol, cigarettes and weed but not vaping which actually helps people.
parts of Canada getting hit too
Facebook and its subsidiary Instagram have announced that beginning “in the coming weeks,” in Instagram’s case, and starting next year in Facebook’s case, the promotion of vapor products on the respective services will be banned. This comes after a ruling by the United Kingdom’s Advertising Standards Authority which ordered British American Tobacco to cease advertisement or promotion of its products on Instagram and other social media platforms.
The decision was announced Wednesday. In its announcement, Instagram stated that, in line with its new policy, “branded content that promotes goods such as vaping, tobacco products and weapons will not be allowed.” Both Instagram’s and Facebook’s bans will be effective worldwide, and expand existing bans on advertising of vapor products to now include promotion by celebrities and influencers, who are allegedly paid by vapor and tobacco brands simply to appear in photos holding or using the brands’ products.
Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids President Matthew Myers praised the new policy, saying:
“With the right policy, Facebook and Instagram are uniquely positioned to cut off Big Tobacco’s easiest access point to kids and young people around the world,” he said in a statement to CBS MoneyWatch. “Updates to Facebook and Instagram policies on influencer marketing are desperately needed.”
Further, British American Tobacco has been ordered to remove all advertising for its Vype brand of e-cigarette from Instagram. Although it’s illegal to advertise vapor products in the United Kingdom, according to News On 6, vapor and tobacco products makers are permitted to share basic information about their products on their own sites, such as the products’ names, content, and prices. British American Tobacco is now barred from using social media to distribute that information.
Three other vapor products manufacturers were also directly named in the new policy: Ama Vapes, Attitude Vapes, and Global Vaping Group.
According to Mark Hurley, Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids’ Director of International Communications:
“[ASA’s] ruling is a huge step forward in preventing tobacco companies from using social media to advertise to young people in the U.K. and around the world.”
This move will leave only anti-vaping groups to continue to promote vaping to minors — however unintentionally so — by making the act of vaping equivalent to an act of rebellion against authority figures. Facebook, Instagram Ban Promotion Of Vaping | Canadian Vapor Magazine
Since I was a kid I’ve insisted on doing things according to my timetable. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn’t.
Are there really that many? I’d love to see some demographics if you know of any.
next up = the vape Stasi.
So this statement, “promotion of vapor products”, seems open to interpretation. Does this just cover paid advertisements for display, push ads, and links that would send the user to a brand promotion page? I wonder what this means for ‘brand-X’ fanclub pages?
I guess that also covers the person that makes small batches of 10 or so “custom” mods, and the coil makers?
This really sucks and it’s not going to have even one Sentilla of an impact on teen vapers.
And smoking cigarettes has killed ‘cX’ number of persons since vaping became a business, alcohol has resulted in ‘aX’ number of fatalities since vaping became a business, and vaping has killed ‘vX’ number of persons since vaping became a business.
I don’t know the real numbers but it’s probably going to be similar to this:
cX > let’s just say 10,000 to be ultra conservative
aX > let’s just say 10,000 to be ultra conservative
vX < let’s just say 30 to be somewhat generous
> Means greater than
< Means less than
- Cigarettes directly helps people die prematurely
- Alcohol directly helps people die prematurely
- Vaping directly reduces or eliminates the direct effects of smoking cigarettes
I was quoting a number I saw recently and I’ll have to search for that source but here’s what I found just now:
2017 data from US News:
https://www.usnews.com/news/healthiest-communities/slideshows/which-states-vape-use-e-cigarettes-the-most
CDC data 2015 (having trouble finding current data):
2018 CDC Statistics:
https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/products/databriefs/db365.htm
Here is the latest poll I found so far which is 8% of Americans which is about 27 million people.
Sorry for all the links but it’s not easy finding reliable data on vaping in the US.
I would have guessed around 10 million. I wonder now about the who, what, and how much. Thanks for the links, I’ll look at them.
Shady as hell! The state voting on two bills tomorrow and gave all vape shops less than 24hrs warning to prepare.

Hawai‘i State House of Representatives Regular Session of 2021
Proposed a tax as high as 27% on all vape products
!!! Not to mention what a farce for FB and Instagram. Did they mention anything about child porn or other garbage they allow to post? Youtube is the same way. Giving vape reviewers a hard time while allowing hideous videos to make their way onto the channels.
Why is DHL in the thread name? DHL will send stuff from over seas 100%
DHL was put into the title bc they’ve had a policy banning shipment of tobacco & e-cig products for a long, long time. They’ll transport vape stuff from overseas only bc those aren’t truthfully labelled lol (which should hopefully still remain business as usual after the imposed bans ). I didn’t want to leave them out of the title & have people hopeful that DHL was going to be a reasonable option for shipping within the US. Not to mention that DHL doesn’t even deliver most customer packages to their final destinations, they often hand off packages to USPS for the last leg of B2C deliveries. The only times I’ve personally ever received a package delivered to me from DHL was when I was receiving shipments for my business in a major city; anything I purchased from a retailer as a customer that was shipped to me via DHL ended up actually arriving to me via USPS.
Ahh DHL always comes to my Door we have a big fleet in my city would be easy for them to do business here In Denver…
Sure, why not?
