I’ve only tested/ for Noted 47 +/- and there were some I was surprised at! I discovered a bunch of flavors I’ll actually mix with.

Gotcha, but our gear today is different and there are newer flavors to compare to and new mixers! I say go for it! I can put my 2¢ in too! No pressure at all :speaking_head::sweat_smile:

Which ones are “news”?

@Lynda_Marie just the (6) small ones. I had thought I might have time to play around for the July thing, but now it’s looking like probably not LOL.

That orange gummy is a good orange syrup…reminds me of ooo crushing orange.

Well, ya never know, you might find a few minutes to throw something together. I have my first idea mapped out I might have time to mix today. Day off and it’s 100° here, I’m staying inside with the a/c lol Your new custard is on my list along with @muth’s Mary Jane recipe! Both look great.

Geez, I’ll have to look at that again. Sometimes I don’t remember what I do, did  I saved @SessionDrummer new custard, too.

The new and improved Mary Jane! Mixed that, SD’s custard, my ELR recipe and a berry cereal I’m working on… plus I rewicked my Steam crave…I need to rewick my dead rabbit, but not tonight lol

I made a fence post protector out of aluminum flashing

I had a new fence installed and noticed a small gash on the gate post (probably from one of the many workers coming and going around here).

Hey SD,

How’s the FW LMP? I don’t think I have that one, and it might be time to revisit the LMP profile.

Also, what’s the difference between Cap SS and Pur SS? Is there one? I use cap SS for fruits/candy/some bakery , and TPA or FW for tobacco and bakery mixes which don’t benefit from the extra citric acid. What exactly would the Purilum be best for?

@IggyZ I still love, and use CAP’s LMP, but the FW is kind of a nice change. It’s Lemon profile is actually more predominant, and punchier than the CAP’s, and the Meringue seems fuller, and better. It’s always a matter of taste, but it seems to work better than the CAP’s sometimes, and is just a different, more lemony approach.

I find that the PUR SS tastes a lot cleaner than the CAP’s SS. It’s not quite as strong, but I think simply “cleaner” would be the biggest difference. More natural, more like sugar, and without much of the chemical edge, that CAP SS can sometimes bring.

Agreed in some respects I always found that for a recipe with a citrus theme but without a mouthful of lemon, cap LMP was always my first choice. Example for a key lime pie, I usually start with cap LMP as a base. Now for FW that’s a LMP as it is stronger and doesn’t seem to fade like a lot of Caps lemons. I still feel that the best LMP if you can source it, is VT Lemon Meringue Tart. It just a complete LMP with a full lemon curd, meringue and a nice bit of crust.
