I remember when I first heard this CD, I thought since they did it all ā€œunpluggedā€ in the studio, how cool would it be if they did the concert ā€œpluggedā€!

I thought I was the only one that bought that CD back in the day. I might actually still have it sitting in a box somewhere. I can’t remember if there were any other good tunes on that record. Shelf in the room was a good one.https://youtu.be/Cw6bgdJlth0?si=6oDeFuD82kCunS2z

Last thing I listened to was ā€œParanormal realities in the everyday worldā€ on the Un-X radio network. Decent broadcast, not boring, not thrilling. That was yesterday and evidently I was not too interested as I don’t even remember the main topic.

I’m not quite a golden oldie, late 50s, but still very much into contemporary music, one of my current favourite bands is a Swiss darker edged band, called Lone Assembly, rocking some very healthy 80s post punk influences, their recent single ā€œIn the Openā€ is one of my favourite tracks of 2025.

Seven Souls is another one of track that hits the aging goth rock fan in me…

Most of the time
My head is on straight
Most of the time
I’m strong enough not to hate

I don’t build up illusion
'Til it makes me sick
I ain’t afraid of confusion
No matter how thick

Now you did it. Had to pull out the old vinyl. Remembering younger times.
My wife’s mother worked for a record distribution company. She could get ticket’s for any venue and concert in city. In 1972 my wife and I got tickets for ELP. The best part of that concert was the opening act. It was the first tour in the US for a unknown band named YES.

Before Billy Joel was Billy Joel :metal:
Two people. Drums & keyboards. Pure ELP/Deep Purple vibe

Brilliant, I thought I was one of not many people who had even heard of ā€œAttilaā€.

I had never heard of it either until I downloaded it from usenet a couple of months ago (and then almost forgot about it)

Wow @robrrt1 I’d not heard of the ā€œbeforeā€ Billy Joe, but you got my interest, just as soon as you said Deep Purple.
