What Are You Listening To? (Part VI) 2022/23

@ozo They brought in Buddy Rich to our high school in either 1969,1970 or 1971. When he came out, many of us may have thought, “Who is this old guy?” We were used to Ringo Starr, Charlie Watts, Jon Bonham and Keith Moon. And may have thought, “Why are we stuck watching a second tier, old guy who is not a rock drummer?” Needless to say, within about 15 minutes we were amazed. By the end of his performance, we were blown away. It is still a very fond memory of mine. Thanks for these posts.

Bit of a “classic” from the fledgling 1971 Perth rock scene. Back in those days local bands would sometimes autograph a small number of 45rpm vinyls which were then sent out to random record stores. I came across one and obviously grabbed it. Still remember the middle-aged cashier giving me a smile and telling me “well done”. It was my pride and joy until I somehow misplaced it. :sob:

@Dardy Thanks for posting this. Loved the harmonica solo. Nice base line. A song with a fine bluesy feel to it.
