BS&T were awesome. David Clayton-Thomas was an outstanding vocalist and his voice was perfect for their music.

Am partway through the new “Dexter: Original Sin” and am finding it much closer in tone and texture to the original. So far I think it is very well done, especially if you liked the original.

We really enjoyed the original Dexter and am looking forward to watching this one. We’re waiting for all episodes to become available so we can binge watch it.

American Primeval on Netflix is really good. The darker side of life in untamed Utah is dark and gritty. I binged watched the whole only stopping to make dinner and clean up afterwards.

I put down the tablet Netflix/Hulu/Paramount etc to read! I love the Scarpetta series… so I dug out my library card!

Wow! You are one of folks who can actually READ?! I’m jelly.:rofl::rofl:

I haven’t truly read a book in years… Like 15! Question tho… Does reading our forum count for anything?! :innocent::smiling_face::face_with_peeking_eye:

I was reading George Orwell when I was like 10-11. My brothers high school books. I absolutely love to read.
I haven’t picked up a book in probably 8-10 years though. I’m sick of social media and even holding my phone or tablet. We haven’t had cable in years. I’ve read this series twice over, but Patricia Cornwell is one of those authors that You can picture in your mind what she describes. Like the inside of her house, office, street, crime scenes… I’m pretty darn proud of my addiction to books lol

And YES! Of course the forum counts as reading lolololol

@Lynda_Marie i have also read her novels from the beginning twice now! Just to say have you tried Michael Connelly? My favorite author. And of course the Bosch series on amazon is based on the novels. Highly recommend!

I’ve not read his books but I’ll definitely check them out! I think there’s a new Scarpetta novel coming out, or has come out that I need to get. Thanks for the recommendation!

You’re welcome! I actually way prefer his novels to Patricia Cornwell as I found some of her later works hard going and complicated! He writes police procedural novel’s and follows fhe Detective Bosch and other characters right from the first novel. My library gets the new one every November thankfully!!

Quite a list but brilliant!

For me, Outlander just hasn’t been the same since covid, but the finale from this weekend was a socks-knocker-off-er

The Bosch novels are outstanding. Michael Connelly is one of my favorite authors. Another fine detective series is from Robert Crais, the Elvis Cole novels. I recommend them to you and @Lynda_Marie . Also, Robert Crais is a darned nice guy. Got to spend some time with him at a reading and signing. His main character, Elvis Cole and sidekick, Joe Pike, remind me of the Spenser novels by Robert Parker, except in Los Angeles instead of Boston.

Thank you! I’ll check them out. I’m headed to the library tomorrow to pick up the next 2 Scarpetta novels.

I read somewhere they’re talking about a prequel. I kinda like it with just the limited series. End this story with a bang. I do hope to see other things by this team though.

yeah basically you mean like the story of Jacob prequel or Sarah like what happened in here trip before she got the fort? I think it was perfect the way it was that’s what limited series are all about but if they were to I probably would watch it who knows maybe they didn’t think it was going to be so popular. I think Taylor is an under rated actor I mean he’s by no means top notch but definitely played that character real well… they had the tingles coming out of me at the end. I said to myself I don’t know who directed this but right in that first fight and they show it in the preview first thing in Netflix the ox coming at the wagon… if that was 3D you would have had to check your shorts lol
