I’ve been watching “Criminal Minds: Evolution” and fully enjoying it. Darker and more adult language than when “Criminal Minds” was on broadcast TV. And VERY creepy.
The most preposterous, absurd, ridiculous thing I’ve ever watched - an episode of Star Trek as a musical.
I loved it
“Strange New Worlds” will be back to its “regular scheduled programming” soon. Love the series and also think it’s strange that some shows include a musical episode in their run.
What I like about SNW is that they’ve gone back to actual episodes vs ST: Discovery which was season-long “song opera” stories (and a cliffhanger at the end of every episode)
Omg dude, that is IMHO, one of the best episodes of Star Trek of all time. I normally hate musicals, but every song was SO catchy. Last I saw it was probably a year ago, and I still remember Pike’s tune. So so good!
Time for a rewatch!
And then the episode before that was the Lower Decks cross-over. Wait, WTF is this? Did Paramount serve up the wrong show?
I loved that one too, though. They did it really well.
IMO, SNW was WAY better than Disco. I know it’s Star Trek, but Disco was way too farfetched for me. The beginning was still alright, but as the story progressed, the show changed from a good Star Trek, to a shitty Michael Burnham Pity Hour, and unfortunately never recovered. I did like the ending, but more because the show came to an end, and not because of the writing. I think of all NuTrek, Disco was the worst. But take that with a grain of salt, as I really enjoyed ST:Prodigy, before it was unexpectedly cancelled.
I’m still stuck on Voyager TBH, especially the later seasons when the writing got so good
If you have any trek questions at all, I hope you know who you can ask now. Happy to help if possible.
Don’t get me started on Tom Paris and B’elana Torez.
