Yeah there’s 2 seasons out on Netflix, I have a couple episodes left to watch on season 1, it’s really good but I’m hoping they go in a different direction for season 2…

Gotta say that I’ve really enjoyed Tracker’s first season and am looking forward to season two. I’m a huge fan of Jefferey Deaver (the author) and have read most of his books (Lincoln Rhyme, Colter Shaw and Kathryn Dance characters).

I watched the English dubbed version and whilst it was enjoyable enough the storyline did verge more into the rather implausible as time progressed.
Still, I enjoyed it enough to warrant the time. It was better than Meg 2 despite the absolutely enormous budget I’ve no doubt was spent on making it. Meg 2 was clearly a money grab with shocking acting etc.
I think a remake of the original jaws would be good now considering how long it’s been since the first and the incredible advancements made in digital and special effects.

Way better than Meg 2. Of course, I knew M2 was going to disappoint before I even saw it, but it didn’t stop me from watching it.

Some Lord Of The Rings trivia for those who haven’t read the book: 17 years elapse between Bilbo’s birthday party and the day that Frodo & Sam leave the Shire.

True. There are many differences from books to films, and I would normally nit-pick that, but the story telling is just too good in the movies. I believe Frodo was around 50 when he left The Shire. In the movies the hobbits don’t look older than their mid 20s.
I’m not a Tolkienologist either. Just a nerd who’s read the books a couple dozen times.

Same here, LOVE Gojira movies and have them all on my network ‘minus’ this one but only because a good dubbed version has been elusive in the places i grab my movies from.
Ive loved them all and watched them many many times. Once thing i wish American film makers would understand is i dont freaking care about the characters, with rare exception, i want to see Kaiju’s fight.
EDIT: Holy crap that was a great remake and i can count the number of times ive said that on one hand. Godzilla’s evolution was so cool to watch. Usually i like to watch the subbed version first but the subs were way out of sync so i watched a dubbed version and in color. Gonna grab the B&W version next.
While i do love the Godzilla suit version this Godzilla was so cool.

Sounds like we had a similar experience watching this one. I love them all too, but didn’t expect what I saw with this one. As for the characters in American gojira flicks, it hard to care about the characters when they’re pretty effing lame to begin with. The exception being Bryan Cranston. Sorta .
There’s a good YouTube doc on the making of Minus. They had a teeny tiny budget compared to the latest movies, but they put out a far superior product.

Love the American version along with the skills challenges and the arctic challenge. Fantastic show. Tried watching the Brit and Aussie ones and wow, they were just horrible. Id imagine that just some d00ds at the local pub in Australia could/would have done a thousand times better.
One of my favorite scenes from the show, i dont remember the season, was a fella named Desmond talking shit about how if he is seen fighting a bear that people should help the bear. Just a few minutes later we see him being dropped off and he is still talking shit, that is until he see’s some actual bear shit. The fella turned albino white and went home, ROFL.
Im not saying i would do better/differently but i also wouldnt be put int he wild without some serious weapons. We only have black bears here but i am still armed to the teeth.
