What are You watching 2024

We belong to the same group of folks who share our challenges with each other. Tony was an active participant and mentored my apartment-mate at the time. He really is a good guy who cares about other folks and walks the talk. Years later we used to joke that he was a lot more like Hannibal Lecter than some of his other roles…and laugh. Gotta say that for someone who takes his craft very seriously, he is able to laugh at himself and has a quirky sense of humor.

Thx for the heads up. I saw this and was interested because of the Medici and wanting to know the real story of their influence.

I can tell by his interviews that he is just as you say. Seems like a great person to know and a great friend to have. He has short YT vids where he shares words/ideas of wisdom. I’m sure you’ve seen them.

Just watched this, a true story about the serial killer they called the “Dating Game Killer”, for those of you who remember that 70s TV show. I thought it was done well but disturbing as hell. The actor portraying the killer did a great job of making your hackles stand up.

Oh, no, no, no, skip this one please!

It could be so interesting story, but everything was so wrong here. Horrible acting, empty story, laughable dialogues, boring, everything predictable, and that typical H’wood shit where you know the actor’s role and ending by their look; the prime factor on audition was the model’s look.

It’s about a story in 14th or 15th century and all actors in every single scene look like they came directly from a hairdresser, their nails are polished and cared better than anyone’s you know and sometimes artificial, male actors beards look exactly same long in every single scene that runs over decades. You could even smell a perfume out of those scenes.

It’s insulting to viewers and trust me, an average Joe or Jane that you meet in a bar would cast and direct and costume better and make a better screenplay than these ‘pros’ there. No idea how Dustin Hoffman ended up there, but it had to be some lost bet or something dramatic. Soap opera at its worst that may attract some kids, but not teens anymore or torturers. Pathetic.

You’re kidding!!! Again, thx for the heads up. Sometimes I’ll choose movies because of the actors but obviously this isn’t it. Geez, maybe he had a debt to pay off, lol.

A re-watch of an outstanding series, while waiting from something GOOD to come out.

Watch Silo if you haven’t already. New season 11/15/24 I think. Apple has some good stuff.

Ryan Murphy’s latest. In typical Murphy fashion, nothing is as it seems. LOTS of buzz on Reddit for this one.
Warning: not for the squeamish. Gore galore.

The male actor with the beard in that looks similar to the man in instagram who wants to be my sugar daddy :joy:

You better hope Taylor doesn’t get wind of it or we’ll have to listen to a new revenge song.

The “death scenes” remind me a bit of “Hannibal”. And you are so right…not for the squeamish. Glad to see Courtney B. Vance in another series. I’ve only watched the first few episodes, but it is a mind-blower.
