There’s 7 seasons so it should keep you busy for a while!

We’ve been watching this and will watch the third episode tonight. I knew it would be disturbing and it truly is. It’s almost like you can’t watch it obviously made much worse because it’s true.

Great watch, Sydney Sweeneys performance was excellent. It’s Horror genre, but in a religious tone. Much like Rosemary’s Baby or the Exorcist

The 100 im talking about

If that’s the case don’t even try to watch Three Body Problem. I thought it was about people, it’s about quantum physics, like in 3 celestial bodies, 3 subatomic particles in an atom…based on this book.

Then again, it might be right up your alley after imbibing your gummies…aliens heading our way and everything.

I guess you saw The Road, then? I never recommend it to anyone because it’s so disturbing and depressing.

My lack of understanding was more of a problem with the way they talk and the Young Ones is one of my all time favorite shows and those fellas talk Ozzy Osbourne British but faster. In The Lazarus Project everything is muffled, a lot of shows are like that now that the headphones generations are writing shows. I get very annoyed having to turn the volume up and down every 2 minutes so i just skip those show. The Expanse is another i had to pass on because i couldnt understand anything they were saying, so muffled and quite and the LOUD STUFFFFFF, then super quiet again. I could wear headphones but i refuse, i paid a lot of money for my soundbar and i intend to use it.

3 Body Problem is excellent so far, i cant wait for next season. And my love of the leaf means that the next time i watch it it will be mostly new again, hehe.

Yeah, boy that was a downer right there, brutal. Once again im glad i consume a lot of cannabinoids because i forgot most of that movie, all that remains is knowing i dont want to watch it again!

Next up for me is Dark Skies, love the way it interconnects everything with historical moments.

There was an interview about why the sound is so lousy on the new shows/movies but I don’t remember what it was, lol. something to do with how they record audio and the number of tracks digital vs analog, like in the old days.

@muth, every time we/I have laid down tracks, we ALWAYS chose 2.5" tape. Analog for the win. Compress to DAT for critique, editing, but ALL critical recording, tracks, overdubs, ALL done on analog tape.

I’m guessing that it may be because of home theater multi-channel encoding. If you don’t have a setup to decode all the channels, I’m assuming the frequency range is not present and thus lowered in volume.
I only say this because when I watch older shows from prior to 2000, the shows are really loud in comparison to the newer ones when I watch with the home theater setup off. Once the HT is on, all volume is restored to seismic levels.

I did some Google foo and came up with this simple fix that maybe will even work for me since I don’t have a HT system.

How to fix very low dialogue but very loud sound effects on TV?

Enable Dynamic Range

If the problem is caused because spoken audio is too faint to hear while other audio is too loud, try enabling your TV’s dynamic range option. Most smart TVs have a setting that you can change to reduce the difference between the loudest and softest sounds they play.Jan 17, 2023

I need to get back to that. My problem is that too much got revealed as I was reading an article about it and it spoiled it for me.
