Of the two chicks in the owl family that’s squatting on the osprey next, one lived and it should be fledging soon. The osprey frequently buzz the nest, so I’m sure they’re ready for an eviction

Even though this one (repost) is completely OUT of my wheelhouse, the wife is still on it, and it (gasp), is very well done.

Well we finally made it to the end of The 100 too.
It was okay, watchable, really predictable script (we both kept saying the next line before the characters🤪), and the storyline took an odd turn at the end as @STR8V8PING said but unlike the Lost ending, I was not completely confused :joy:
Would I watch it again? Probably not.

Yes the last 2 seasons got more and more weird. It was soo good when they were on earth and in space but when they got to the other planet it wasnt the best

This man puts the climate change debate to bed, IMO, and I’m not so humble about it because I do a lot of reading on the subject. I don’t care what your beliefs are, I’m willing to bet all of us would agree with this.

Start at 51:27 Ice Cores if you want to skip the first part about genomes et Al.

@muth, in a word, … WOW.

I have pretty much believed this all along. Million years ago we went through an ice age. Before that ice age dinosaur roamed the earth in a warm age. We’re going back into a warming cycle. Man has no effect on climate changes. Climate change effects man.
I currently live on edge of glaciers travel to the south. The world is currently heating in a natural cycle.

Glad you enjoyed this @SessionDrummer The part about our DNA and chromosome N2 is kind of a wow, too.

I’m glad you pay attention to the science. I wish more people did and I wish we had more reliable scientific resources. I learned that we went through several different ice ages, the last one 120,000-11,500 yrs ago where humans lived and survived. What I learned is that they call our current time an interglacial period. If you were able to listen to all he had to say towards the end he does emphasize that due to our current technology we are spewing more human made Co2 than we need to, adding to the earth’s natural warming process. Another fact I learned is that the maximum temperature during the last ice age was 46F. I did not know this. Braden did talk about the scientific facts being skewed by media, politics, corporations, for the purpose of creating their own narratives and agendas. Pisses the heck out of me.

I’m not a big believer in the CO2 theory of today. Volcanoes wiped out the dinosaur (last heating period). Not because of CO2 but because of smoke blocked out the sun’s rays from hitting the earth starting a ice age. The earth has been heating ever since. The earths core is probably the most dynamic factor because it’s a liquid mass that’s heating and cooling all the time under a solid surface that vents as the continents move over time. It’s a cycle of time.
Of course people and business are going to spin to their advantage. Their not getting a true story in the first place.

The C02 part I’m just getting from the scientists’ findings in their reports. They’re not saying that human produced C02 is causing global warming, there’s just enough there to create an excess of it. He was showing how the earth’s orbit around the sun has a pattern of moving in closer every multiple thousands of years and gets warmed, then moving out again. All sorts of cool stuff with graphs and images. I know it’s kind of long but if you get a chance, check it out. I think you’ll enjoy it, I’ve never seen it shown this way. Some of it came from the academic journal, Nature, which you probably know about.
