What do you do as a profession?

It appears there is quite an interesting mix of people here from varied backgrounds. I was just wondering if you would share what you do … other than vaping, mixing and rebuilding coils.
I myself, am a Process Technician with a well known electronics manufacturer. I have worked in several capacities for the company over the last 20 years, but have been in my current position since 2002. I enjoy the work. Trouble shooting processes and running experiments, gathering data and crunching numbers is kind of fun. ( When not under a tight deadline. )

I’m a Solutions Engineer for a well known CDN and focus on the Digital Media industry. So I mainly work on delivering large volumes of video online. I’m one of those lucky people who gets a kick out of what they do for a living. I’ve also been very lucky to be involved in the last two World Cups.

Hey wait a minute here, this is rude. Just because I run a Vape shop for my profession I am to be left out. LOL. Technically I’m semi retired and have a small vape shop. I Vape, Mix, and Rebuild Coils for a Living. How’s that for a Left Turn? Got ya!!!

Perhaps I should add things I used to do. I too have done some web development, on a personal level both for fun and POS business applications for a prior business. For over 20 years my business was the sales of sterling silver jewelry both retail and wholesale. Honest truth I was becoming bored and very unhappy because I took the personal contact out of my business by going completely internet. Even my health began to suffer from this. Next month will be 1 year since I switched from jewelry sales to a Vape Shop. I’ve never looked back and I’m so much happier. As for the fun web application, I wrote my Classic Movie website (actually 2 but didn’t want to pay for 2 out of pocket). If anybody is interested feel free to checkout…ClassicMoviesEZ.com

I’m a master electrician in the live stage theatre arts realm. Ah, “show business” as some folks say. People ask me where do I work? I say, “I go to play, not work!” It’s been one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done in my life. 35 years in the business and I’ll never look for anything else to replace it. Most of the time, the hardest part of my day is deciding what t-shirt I’m going to wear today? The rest of the day is cake! :performing_arts:

Good thread, interesting.
I drive a truck delivering overdimensional loads throughout US and Canada.
Yes, I’m one of the trucks that take up to much room on the Freeway or on many occasions travel with Police escorts and have them close roads all together (for short periods) so I can travel.
I’ve done this to over 35yrs and still enjoy the different challenges that ensue everyday. SteveB.
Oh, and I apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience should we meet enroute somewhere.

That sounds terrifying! Mostly because when people get into cars they are instantly transformed into morons. Best of luck to you on your travels!

Whats the name of your shop? Might be able to drum up some sales, if that is allowed. I always love to try new stuff!

Hi Ken_O_Ware;

Hopefully I did not give the impression I still sell on the internet, that is not the case any more. I did say I’m semi retired. I just sell weekends in a market like atmosphere. I have some pictures though. The shop has changed quite a bit since the pictures…Pics on Facebook. It’s nothing much but I enjoy it. It’s in between Cleveland and Cut-N-Shot Texas, US
