If you go back and read the old xCube II threads on ELR you’'ll see where we thought the same about those units. Some shipped out that were good, some flaky as hell. I think the problem is SMOK has no quality control. And their after-sale customer service is non-existent.

Had such a horrible experience with my first Smok Alien Mod … the internal circuit board of the mod almost melted and caught fire … the smell from the device after that lingered for days and days …
I’ve sent it back under warranty.
Used it only about 5 days ???
Puff counter about 1132 or so new batteries were used …

Yea my first alien mod crapped out on me in less than a week… never got another one got an IPV8 instead and super happy with it
