Koopor and firmware updates

I’ve done every thing they said but it doesn’t work with out the dongle. So I guess no updates for me.

Went to the Evic Vtc web site and checked there upgrade and its so simple, Wish koopors was that easy.

Would like to say Thank You to everyone that helped me(the retard) with understanding how this works.

Yes, that is super annoying for the Koopor Mini users :frowning: I really hope the Plus-version is easily upgradable!

@Cloyce sorry to hear about all the hassle your having, its so frustrating. I think smok with the x cube and the koopors, are really damaging there brand. Theres loads of ppl that will not be returning to them for mods, it just doesn’t make sense. Do they want to go out of business? Because thats the way its going they will.
Best of luck.

There is always a lot controversy about SMOK mods. I hear more negative comments about SMOK than all others combined. Fact is they don’t make user friendly mods that’s simple to use. To setup a SMOK mod takes patience and work. It also take away a lot of the joy of vaping. I really wish they had kept it simple because they lost my business with all this petty nonsense. I hope the Kooper is less problematic than the XCube2 has been. Maybe that’s why they sell them so cheap… an offset for all the BS the users has to deal with. The features make it sound very attractive until you try to make it work.

@daath , I know you are a very, very, busy man, but I am just curious as to when we might see the review on the Koopor Plus…I have not seen a review for it anywhere yet and I have been looking on an almost daily basis…I ordered one but I have to wait for it until around the end of November and I have no patience!

Yes, I will post a review - I think next week. Expect it to perform more or less like the XCube 2, but without the upgrade/activation/app hassle. The software guts of the device is based on the XCube 2, and it seems to function as expected

I forgot that I had a pre-order of the Koopor Plus as 3fvape, so I have one coming as well (they already sent it!). I may have to sell the one I have coming :stuck_out_tongue:

Damn…I might have bought it from you if I didn’t have one on pre-order as well :stuck_out_tongue:

I just looked through the box again, and there is no USB-cable :stuck_out_tongue: My bad. I really hope it’s not another mini-situation!

Guys, Gals, I have to agree with everyone that bitches than Koopor originally said the Koopor units would be upgradeable and then turn around and say otherwise. I can’t argue that they made a huge mistake counting their chickens before they were hatched, sorta speak. I have a feeling they ran into unexpected problems and instead of dropping the unit released it very cheap. I think anyone who owns one can tell you that the craftsmanship of this unit is very good. The kind of craftsmanship you would expect to pay double what the unit is selling for. If this unit had been upgradeable I doubt that we would hear one single complaint if this unit sold for $50 or so. Upgradeable or not this unit is twice the mod the Eleaf 40wTC is and sells around the same price. Not only that I am now on my fifth day of running my Uwell Crown with a Ti wire build in TC mode at 450 degrees and it has been working like a champ. The ONLY bitch I have is the single battery and the plus will take care of that if anyone decides to get one. For those that are critical about every adjustment being just right, and everything else just so, then maybe this mod is not for you. For those who just want a TC mod that works at a cheap price, then this mod just might be what you are looking for. I have to be honest people. I made no adjustment to AIO or the TR and this thing vapes fine in TC mode and will go into Temp protection without problem when dry, etc, with Ti wire. All I can say is yes, they F@cked Up. I will also say you might think about taking advantage of their screw up and get a very cheap TC mod…

Very true. The Plus is also very cheap on pre-order as well. And the mini can be upgraded, it’s just wildly complicated :stuck_out_tongue:

I once made a comment about cheap mods… “You get what you pay for…” That being said, there shouldn’t be any complaints if it’s not perfect. Personally I’m headed in a different direction with my next purchase and I’m hoping to get what I’m paying for.

Same here. I allow myself to spend what I would have if I still smoked. That was a carton of American Spirit Black which, here in SC right now will set you back about $65/carton. So in 3 weeks I plan on the Efusion by Lost Vape - DNA 200. Should have it here in a month. Of course that is if I can just not spend money on anything else

And I hope you do. This fiasco with the XCube that you went through shouldn’t happen to anyone. I for one see very little improvement in the Smok brand. Just makes me shake my head…

It will be refreshing change of pace. I’ve read several positives about the DNA 200 chip. It too will require some learning but there’s a lot of good info on them.
