Off course the battery was faulty, i mean for him to admit that he is a moron keeping unprotected batteries in his pocket among with other metal objects would render him a status within the legal community that he doesn’t wanna have.
I’m sure that he will get that status anyway since people with common sense will know that a battery normally doesn’t burst into flames for no reason…
If he would answer honestly to the question if he had an unprotected battery in his pocket together with lose change or keys or any other metal object he would say yes to that, however being a lawyer inclines that he can’t answer such a question truthfully, doing so contradicts the whole purpose of being a lawyer.
Truth for these people is what they can make people believe not whats really true.
