The Dead Thread

My sister hooked me up with a great Birthday/ Christmas present.
I had "The Golden Road " box set that covered the years 1965-1973 but I never managed to get the “Beyond Description” box set that covered 1973-1989 years. My sister surprised me with it this past weekend!
I haven’t even opened it up yet . I am waiting until I get some blank CD’s and burn copies like I do with my other boxed sets. That way they will last for future generations!
Of course the best Dead tracks are from their live performances.I love going to dead.net and listening to some of the early concerts.
I would like to someday get some of their DVD’s showing some of the live concerts as well as some of the "Dick’s Picks " live recordings.
Does anyone have any DVD 's or other Cd’s that they recommend that I should pick up? @Big_Benny_MI @CosmicTruth @Rob62

My list to start but all are good I have yet to see a bad one

Thanks for the heads up . I was afraid that I would have to put it on the plastic but the seller says they will be getting more in .I would like to wait until after Christmas as I always get an Amazon gift card !:grinning:

May not be on sale it’s $50.00 off now

These aren’t limited edition sets, but a few commercial releases worth getting.

Dozin at the Knick (3 discs)
The Arista Years (2 discs)
Europe 72 (2 discs)

and if you like Jerry I recommend - Jerry Garcia Band Live (2 Discs)
It’s an out of print collectible but you can find them around cheaper.

Thanks for the recommendations!
