Can’t see why VG/PG can be grouped into a vape tax, used in many other applications, same for flavor concentrates. But not sure what’s going on over there?
If you diy I would only be concerned with stocking up on Nic and freeze it, there are some threads around here on storing nic long term, think @SessionDrummer is the expert on that subject…
Oh yeah and no need to sign your posts — every post has your profile information attached to it
Best to buy your PG and Vg separately, vs a mix, easier to use in the recipe calculator (or you can always just mix your own base)
Also if you buy your base products / concentrates from a site that also sells Nicotine products you are going pay the price…
that was just an example i buy vg and pg separately off dark star and nic of nicotinehub both seem fine to me and both have next day deliveries too (not had not strange tastes or water in the vg/pg like what has been stated here before no crackling poping when using my vaper
flavours from nomz nomz and vapable and if i struggle to source a flavour ebay reseller
I don’t know anything about the upcoming vape tax over there, but I’m sure any site that also sells nicotine will be hit. Stock up on Nic, the rest you can always get. Do you guys have Amazon over there, that’s where I get my VG and PG.
Some of the UK vape sites already have, or are working on, a sister site that only sells concentrates (food flavors)
I’m in the US, so would probably be different brands over there. You would have to do some research on what’s available, I use palm based VG and Food Grade Propylene Glycol
Hi @stickynigel, I am also in the U.K. and have bought my VG and PG from Lubrisolve and it is very good quality. I am not sure how the government is going to enforce a blanket tax on flavours and base because they are also used in culinary products and crafts including lip gloss, candles and the likes so there maybe some loopholes in our favour there if you buy them from a non vape vendor but nicotine is another matter entirely and I strongly advise you to stock up on that asap if you can and keep it in your freezer.
It doesn’t freeze fully, it remains pourable even if it’s VG based. I decanter some into a smaller container and keep in fridge for use. I’ve got 1¹½ litres in deep freeze at moment and will buy another litre nearer the tax enforcement. As long as it’s in glass bottles it will be ok in freezer for long periods
Thank you sir will get some more order soon and it’s pg based in the glass amber bottles so should be fine just made a twister lolly without ice in and smells amazing can’t wait to steep and try this one
If our government in Australia can’t over tax concentrates and vg/pg (cause trust me they would if they could) I don’t think the UK will be able to. As you said, there’s too many other applications for them to label it a vape product
i am now starting to believe that it will just be the nicotine and shop juice that will increase
just ordered 300ml of nicotine 100ml bottles in amber glass once i get them in the post i will put in the freezer and will just kept adding to them until 1st October…will add some labels to the bottle so i know when it was brought for future reference
Atleast then i will have enough flavours for a year plus the nic, im going to stock up on vg and pg just as a precaution though in august me thinks
Yeah better to be safe than sorry, take it from us in the antipodes. We’ve been proper shafted, and the government has shat the bed. We have the worlds largest, most profitable tobacco/disposable vape black market. And they still try to say vaping is as bad as smoking. Does my head in.
Your regular flavour shops are setting up non-vaping (haha!) flavour shops. Alchemist’s cupboard, Nomz (I believe) and the Ecig shop will have separate flavour businesses. Check out TradeFlavours.com for starters. There’s also King Flavours. Our known flavours will still be available. Also, if you use one shots, have you checked out Flavour Craver? They have some of the best one shots around.
