I know this gets asked a lot so I’m going to try to be very specific by describing a couple of things. I hope the more seasoned DIYers do not mind the question being directed at them, and I have just signed up (not updated anything yet) but I need to make a purchase this weekend. I need a coffee flavor from wizard labs, specifically.
Ok, so I’ve made a couple coffee flavors before. One is a FW caramel latte I added to caramel juice from MBV. Be aware, I like strong juice, and the one I made is VERY sweet and strong, almost like a caramel coffee liqueur. I like it and have made variations, and have also made a creamy coffee cake flavor, but want to go in another direction for yet a different taste. I’m in love with Vape Wild’s Tiramisu juice, and might like it even stronger. It’s a totally different taste than what I’ve previously mentioned… some might even say a tad on the burnt (or even burnt popcorn) side. I am purchasing both Tiramisu flavorings offered at WizardLabs, but just in case I need more of that really deep dark flavor, I’m also in the market for a coffee (or espresso, cappuccino??). I’m also picking up many creams, double chocolate, etc… (many things in my cart over at WL)
Judging from what is offered at WL, what might take me down that dark, roasted ally??? (even at the risk of venturing on the “too roasted” side) I just need to make sure I don’t go in the wrong coffee direction (for what I’m going for)…not liqueur-ish, not creamy (although I like both of those ‘types’) Is earthy the word I’m looking for? Ultra dark roasted? I’m saying I’d rather have it burnt than alcohol-ish, chemical-ish, too mild or dressy or anything else, not acrid or sour (I’d rather the flavors flaw be too blackened, charred even)… for this particular endeavor. I hope I’m making sense. Sorry it’s so long, I AM usually capable of being more brief, but I’m stuck on this issue, need to make a purchase… and it will be some time before making another. I thought some elaboration would help narrow things down.
I need to direct this question to someone who is acquainted with Vape wild’s Tiramisu, as well as some coffee flavors from WL. Be as descriptive or direct as you care to be.
I’ve had the Tiramisu from VW a while before I started to DIY. It was OK but as with all coffee’s after a short time they all taste like 3 day old burnt reheated coffee to me. A lot of people do great with the coffee flavors. You might consider going through Nicotine River they have all the brands that WL has plus they carry Flavorah. I haven’t had their coffee but the ones I have are phenominal and about twice as strong as CAP TFA and stronger than FA as well. https://www.nicotineriver.com/collections/flavorah/products/mocha-flv https://www.nicotineriver.com/collections/flavorah/products/coffee-flv
Take a look at these and see what you think. NR is a fantastic company and they are quick to ship, friendly, and customer service is unbeatable.
The flavor you’re looking for you aren’t going to find at WL. What you need is Dark Bean (Coffee Espresso) by FlavourArt. Is there a reason why you have to order from WizardLabs? You could try Inawera’s Tiramisu. It’s at WL. I have it and it’s pretty good. TPA Coffee might work but I haven’t used it in so long I’ve forgotten what it tasted like.
I do love variations of smooth morning kick. Jojo already said it…espresso FA. It’s a very very strong coffee.
Is you need to venture away from WL to get all the flavors I do recommend the above recpie. It is worth it.
The more are a few sites you can look at. One was already mentioned. There is also ecigexpress and bull city vapor. Ecigexpress is also offering 15% off all FA flavorings this weekend.
Thanks for the replies. The reason I wanted to buy from WL is because I was wanting to review their service (they are pretty close and this would be really convenient for future purchases, both shipped and in-store-pick up)… then I started a cart and already have multiple items picked out that I also feel I really need. I really didn’t want to make multiple purchases because I don’t want to pay double shipping. I’m also looking for the cheapest option because I am supposedly showing restraint this week >_<.
I’m going to take a look around. I’m familiar with ecigexpress (they ship from across the US), but never made a purchase from these other companies. I will take the suggestions and see what I come up with. Inawera’s Tiramisu (as well as the other Tiramisu) was already in my cart with many other flavors.
Thanks JoJo. I did not see FA espresso at GremlinDIY, but I found it at ecigexpress, and yes, those codes may indeed be helpful if I can get all the other flavors I wanted from the same source. I may just have to opt for priority shipping. I was just hoping to find something a bit closer, but ecigexpress has previously proven to carry a wide variety at decent prices. Maybe I will go with them again. If I can get everything I had already picked out at WL, that may just further my impression on their variety, I suppose.
Hmmm. I can only speak from experiance. I do know if Jojo says gremlindiy is good I would trust that.
Beyond that I have used ecx and bcv. Odly enough when I ordered from both during the July 4th weekend. I received the bcv package prior to ecx and I live 4.6 hours from ecx. Yup…that’s a hmmmm?
That being said, I usually order over the weekend. Normally the orders get shipped out on Monday and recieved by Thursday. Somehow magically bcv upgrades my order to 3day usps.
I do think ecx has the lower threshold for free shipping. But if the size of your order can qualify for free shipping it all comes down to can you get all the flavors you want.
ECX and BCV are both good, too. I don’t know what it is but I have issues with ECX’s website. It’s always kinda slow and glitchy for me, but I’ve placed my fair share of orders there. If Nic River had Inawera and smaller than 2oz sizes in everything, they’d be my main place.
I have resorted to making two orders, sadly… and again I am spending more than what I was going to because I started getting close to free shipping on one, so then I got hit with that old concept of “pay more, save by getting more”. I have been preening on these two orders to a comical extent, trying to trade things back and forth to whittle it down to the skinniest dime. It would have been great if I only had to make one order sigh but they each have things I can’t find on the other.
I have noticed the ecx website kind of lags as well, which is not helping speed this OCD penny pinching process of mine up, haha! I think I’m almost done though… going to check one last time for a coupon and then I’m throwing the towel in. I should not have to buy juice for a long, long time after this though.
I checked out nic river, and yes, those bottles are too big to allow me to taste 50 some-odd different things on a budget. Those amounts would be nice, though.
I would probably do that if I bought big bottles of base or used higher PG. I use low nicotine, 2-3 mg/ml, so I just get small bottles of 24 mg or higher in PG and mix it with walmart VG since it’s cheap. By the time I get the base and the flavors in there, it has thinned the PG down to somewhere around a pre-made max VG juice. I like a pretty thick juice, so I don’t mind doing it that way to save a buck or two. High VG may have caused an issue in one particular coil, but I’m still not sure if it was the culprit. Otherwise, I’ve had no issues doing that yet.
Just an update… I got that dark bean espresso. I’ve yet to dive real far into making juices with all that I have ordered. I’ve only made 4 bottles/flavors so far, but from just smelling the dark bean espresso, I do think it could be what I was looking for, so thank you for the recommendation. I think the FA Booster (tiramisu) might also be a hit. The ECX order arrived on the same day as WL (imagine that)… I made both orders on the same day. ECX is hard to beat, except when they run out of something I was specifically looking for and I can only get it somewhere else (like butter, in this case). Just wanted to say thanks again, and I can’t wait to see how everything is going to turn out.
