Any other fisherman out there?

My Jon boat is set up mostly for night fishing for catfish but I also do a good bit of Bass fishing. I have red LED lights down both sides that light the water around you for about 4 feet out but do not attract bugs. The inside decks also have red LED lighting. The old swivel office chair might look funny to some but is way more comfortable than any boat seat I have ever had. I am not out for looks and pretty looks have never helped me catch fish, but the added comfort allows me more time on the water at peace with the world.

I like your style @wvsanta! I am going to put some of those led light strips on my boat if I ever get around to it. I love fishing at night as well.

Hmmm, I am a bit more [complicated]
I fish the deep flats, the point, the patches, did charter for some time,
and when the boys were growing up especially, we fished the Dry Tortugas
Fuel, bait, ice, chum, beer, etc. was always less than the catch we brought back
after 3-4 weeks. Always on the lookout for modern day pirates.
Docked at the family marina in Islamorado, FL Keys.

I have a 100 acre pond in front of my house so I pretty much can walk down my driveway and wet a line within a few minutes. Good assortment, LGB, (no smallies :frowning: ), sunnies, perch (both yellow and white), Pickerel, bullheads, crappies, stocked trout (season). My concentration is on the LMB when spinning and I like messing with the crappies and sunnies on a 3WT. I have a 12’ Jon boat. We also stock our own trout at the rod and gun club. Went salt water fishing for the first time in about 25 years last year for Porgies and Sea Bass in the Long Isl. Sound…fun fun!

I grew up fishing, my dad was my teacher and my buddy. So many day waking up at 2am to be able to be on the water at dawn with our lines in to get the best bite. Salmon to this day remains my favorite, love how they fight! Kings go down, and silvers out and up. Both so different n how they run when on a hook. Also bottom fishing, ling cod, sea bass. And trout. Mostly from Puget Sound, Westport, Sekiu, Port Angeles WA. We did go to Canada a couple times. Don’t go much anymore since he passed…really missed it, but can’t afford a boat. We took my teen children on a charter last summer out of Westport so they could have the experience. Bottom fishing…sea bass and ling, we had a ball! Charters are not my preferred method, but fun and better than nothing when can’t afford to own a boat. Would love to be able to afford a salmon charter for them, best fishing ever imho! Salmon, not charters. I still remeber my first king, took 45 minutes to get him in the boat. Just about the time I’d get him to the surface, he’d dive down 70 feet again. Must did that 4-5 times before it tired him out…good memories

We also take the kids trout fishing from shore in summer. They love that too.

I fished Puget Sound 40yrs ago when I was in the Army stationed at fort Lewis. At time I was young and from N.Y. City. Some of the best fishing memories of my life.
