I also refuse to change lol. Especially when I have something more customizable. I don’t know how it started, but I guess there was some consensus that blowing big clouds was “lame” or people thought it brought too much attention to themselves. Me, IDGAF. I was still using a cassette player in 2016. I still enjoy being a steam stack. I like being different too though so, yeah.
Plus, I have so many problems and complaints about disposables. They give a bad name to vaping, theyre unsafe, they’re 100X more environmentally unfriendly than cigarette butts. Shops that sell them should be required to have a recycling program, pay like 5 cents for each disposable to incentivize people. I love vaping and I will admit this, the disposables are definitely attractive to teenagers. I would have totally chose those over cigarettes if they were around back when I smoked cigarettes as a teenager. They’re easily concealable, and even worse the nicotine levels in those things are outrageous. When you pair something tastey with high levels of nicotine, it’s bad. I actually relapsed to cigarettes when someone gifted me a box of free disposables. My sub ohm wouldn’t cut it after I ran out. That was my rant.
Funny enough, before vaping even existed all the teenagers that smoked, smoked cigarettes. Stuff has changed, but it doesn’t help that disposables have absurd amounts of nicotine in them for as good as they taste.
Pods are an extension to the mass market for people who don’t want to do anything except for a simple coil change. Manufacturing is cheaper and resale of coils is profitable. Actually pods are against the law in the US because they don’t apply for approval from the FDA. There are only two companies approved for sale in the US. Because of federal law only tobacco flavors are legally available for sale in the US.
I love the big hits of flavor and all the cracking and popping of my sub ohm. It’s so much more enjoyable to constantly puff on this thing than chain smoke and roll pipe tobacco. Oh that stuff is bitter. One time I gave a rolly to a guy I worked with, I warned him it was “an acquired taste.” I could tell he didn’t really want to finish it. No more of that nasty rank smell though. I can’t stand the smell of cigarettes inside anymore, I kind of enjoy the smell of them wafting around outdoors though.
In defence of pod systems, if it wasnt for my oxva pod kit I would have still been smoking. And some people can’t manage to use mod devices for various reasons but have the chance to vape because there is something for everyone out there. I am gutted that I physically can’t use a rda when I’d love to be able to try, but a pod mod ( a recent purchase for me) gives me the choice of mtl or dtl options. Not every vape device is perfect for everyone for a whole host of personal circumstances. Just saying!!
I’m really sorry to hear that. That really sucks. My dad used to use an RTA as well. It got too difficult for him to thread the cotton and do the coils. I don’t have any problem with pod systems, it’s those cheap gas station disposables that I really don’t like. My dad just wants to quit smoking altogether at this point though. He doesn’t wanna mess with vapes.
Yeah disposables are being banned here in UK from June this year. There wasn’t a problem with children vaping until disposables. But u don’t see kids smoking much these days at all either.
I would love to have had an rta or rda for the flavours cos I am a total flavour chaser. But my health condition has made it impossible due to progressing loss of muscle. I am nearing the point of needing help to squeeze a liquid bottle so wicking and or building coils is out of the question. I am currently reading up on the best sub ohm device and tank for most flavour and ease of use!
I went to the vape store with my mowhawk alien coils and the guy even opened up a the box and took it out so I could see if they would fit. They did, and I actually ended up buying the one he opened. I wanted a purple one, but this one is really cool too. It’s very airy, the airflow is actually useful to me with this. I didn’t really like close the airflow on the arbiter 2 much at all. I still gotta let the coil and cotton break in. It’s too early to say much about it, I gotta test it with other coils. I like it though, it’s nice to finally test out these coils. At 60 watts I can hear them pop as soon as I press the button. The draw feels nice and full with the airflow closed a little over 1/4.
Oh and it came with this. Yay I don’t have to buy one! I was able to trim the messed up part of the alien coil off very easily. I got really good at eyeballing them, but awesome. No more guessing.
This coil+atomizer combo has fantastic flavor. The dead rabbit 3 just feels thicker and fuller. I think I need to clean my arbiter 2’s tank… I have the same juice in it, but when I switched back it tasted like green tea. I don’t have any flavors that taste like green tea. I tend to drip test too many flavors and then not really notice all that much until I can’t taste anything.
Their website says the ID is 3mm, but It wouldn’t fit into the deck of arbiter 2 and I have regular alien coils from the same place that also say they’re 3mm ID, and those fit in the arbiter fine. The outer diameter of this mowhawk alien is just chunky. It’s a chunky coil lol. The ID must just measure the core and not the outside wrap? I’m still new to this terminology despite having used an RTA for like 3 years now.
I don’t know what happened to the picture I uploaded. But here’s a side-by-side comparison if that helps. Dead rabbit coil hole just looks wider all around. My bad lol It was hard to get more accurate picture with the wicks and coils installed.
the dead rabbit ‘R’ tank RTA is freaking awesome and it takes about literally 10 seconds to build because it’s like mesh baby beast style . got it 2½yrs ago as a kit remember the link it’s on here somewhere it’s probably different from the one you’re thinking of you don’t dip the cotton down in it’s more of like a pre-made coil style but is literally one of the best tanks I’ve ever bought and I still use it two and a half years later every day came with 90 cartons and 90 meshes in a building kit I still have like half of it left it was like the 360 no worry plan kit with the tank itself is great it’s like using pre-made coils but not and the mesh really strong too. but if you’re looking for something for coils not the one I just personally like mesh
I wanted to try out a mesh RTA, vape shop owner actually talked me out of it. I think he said something like the flavor improvement was marginal and the mesh can be finicky. Personally I don’t wanna mess with 2 different coil types. Maybe someday I’ll try the mesh, but theres so many varieties of non mesh coils I think I’ll be occupied for a while.
uwell
… anything. lol but especially the crown v I dare say is actually the best tank that I’ve ever used and still looks brand new
I have one for a year and a half when I say it doesn’t leak ever it never leaks a drop it’s easier to open and they’re plugging play coils that last for like 2000 hits or like a month and on smoking oh and the flavor is amazing I’m just a big fan of that company not the pod the tank
