Anyone have experience with the Dead Rabbit V3 RTA?

Ive stuck exclusively with the Arbiter 2 RTA, but I need a new RTA that can accommodate this larger
coil. I’m interested in the Dead Rabbit V3. Does anyone have any experience with both the Arbiter two and dead rabbit v3? Is there any real difference?

Hard to tell by your photo how large your coils are but the HV 3 is pretty normal for a Post less deck. I’m running four core Clapton’s on mine. 28x4 40 4 or 5 wraps 3 mm ID. The two coils are power hungry.,

I just checked their website and it says theyre 3mm in diameter. Oh and I can only imagine. I can’t run dual coils because i chain vape. It gets wayyyyy too hot.

I have both the Oxva Arbiter 28mm RTA and the Hell Vape Dead Rabbit 3 (2024 model). The inner built-in chamber of the HVDR is much more reduced in size (the deck seems smaller too) then the Arbiter. The Arbiters I have are the original 28mm ones that have the removable inner chimney cap. I have two of them and only wished that I could find some more of them, they IMO are the best non-leaking highly flavorful RTA’s I have ever vaped. They are better in flavor then the DR and easier to build. Lastly, they accommodate dual exotics probably to a max of 3.5mm diameter (stretching it) but shine (for me) using 2.5mms. Granted, I generally use only simple SS316L single wraps at this point (less hassle/change out rather then clean), the Arbiter is great with exotics too.

So the regular arbiter accommodates bigger coils but not the arbiter 2? Wth? Also the 2 doesn’t have a removable chimney. I still wonder how the size of the arbiter 2 compares to the dead rabbit.

On a side note, oxva doesn’t make RTAs anymore or something? I looked on there website and all I see are pod systems. Wtf.

I am not really familiar with the Arbiter 2, but I would imagine it to be more like building on the HVDR3 “At 24.5 mm at the base (26 at the main body,) the Arbiter 2 is a somewhat condensed version of the original Arbiter.”

Yeah, unfortunately seems Oxva has pretty much discontinued non pod type RTA’s.

What a bunch of bs. I just don’t get it. They had a very good reputation and could have kept selling RTAs. Well, in that case I’ll never let go of my arbiter 2s. They are nice despite the tiny holes on the build deck. It’s been over 2 years and the gaskets still haven’t failed me.

Since I could find the spec size of the coil holes for the Arbiter 2, I could probably find the specs for the dead rabbit 3. I’m going to go check that out. Thanks for input!

How is the dead rabbit with flavor though?

If you plan on using multi-wrapped exotics of diameter greater then 3mm, it is going to be problematic - there is not a lot of room for building on the deck.

Yes, thank you. I cant seem to find the size measurement of the deck holes where the coil goes in though. It certainly looks like they’re nice and big though. Much wider than my arbiter 2.

I only run one coil, would that still be an issue?

Yeah, you could definitely run a 4mm diameter single coil. That might work for you. On the bright side the airflow is very good on it. It ranges from pretty restrictive to fairly open (with it open all the way it is a slightly restrictive dl rta). I have found that you want to keep your coil-legs to 4-5mm - also the post holes are not really that large, so on second thought, a 4mm clapton (etc) might be an issue.

The deck-holes in the photo look a lot larger zoomed in like this - the flat-head screws are like m2.5 - not all that big!

Ok awesome. Thank you for talking your time to help me out! I just got another idea as well… I could always take my coil to a local vape shop, I know of one that should have the dead rabbit v3 in their display case. They could just take out their display piece so we can physically check it out. Hopefully they have a couple other RTAs I could compare. I need to give them a call tomorrow.
