I think you should at least get a lead testing kit for your coil wire. Name brands getting their stuff made in China is one thing, but there’s so many different manufacturers and and knockoffs from China. They don’t care about health, and they have no rules and regulations like that. They’re not testing the purity of their products, it’s scary.
I’ve got an update about the dead rabbit RTA. It’s doing good, but I have a couple issues with it. The rainbow glass that comes with it just makes it really easy to see fingerprints, and since I get a little juice on my finger tips when I take the cap off to refill, I can clearly see it smudged all over the glass. I don’t even notice this on my clear tanks. The wicking seemed to be a little tricky at first, I couldn’t get the satisfying crackling and popping. I stopped reading suggestions and wicked it just like I do my arbiters and it was perfect.
Overall, with the same coils I have in my arbiter 2s, I feel like the dead rabbit 3 is a lot like the arbiter 2 in flavor production. The fact it can accommodate much larger coils than the Arbiter 2 is great. Also, that being said I never run dual coils because it gets too hot for my chain vaping. Chain vaping with dead rabbit 3 with a single coil is perfect.
@Mediocre_Remedial
nothing for nothing I know it’s 27 days later…lol was your coil hitting the deck like even just a little? or was it so close that when it heated up it expanded and hit the deck .
I’ve had that b4… heat expand…cold contract
just a thought I didn’t read the comments underneath either
If this is in response to the post I’m thinking about, then I think I know what happened. It was a 6 wrap coil, and while it fits into the deck it gets a little scrunched because with 6 wraps the coil is a little longer than the length between the deck posts. So it looks like the bottom of the coil gets a little smushed together. I haven’t been having any issues lately at all though. It’s behaving nicely.
I ruined a coil the other day trying to strum a hot spot out in the bottom with the same scenario. I hit the fire button with the tweezers on the coil… (I don’t have ceramic ones) and it sparked and welded the wraps together. Learned my lesson. I recalled once in a vape shop, a guy said “just don’t strum it while you’re glowing.” And I didn’t really understand why… Now I see xD.
Oh wait!!! No!! I think this was the time I tried glowing it at a much lower wattage.
I was attempting to glow/strum at a lower wattage because I saw something that said it would make the coil last longer. So I only glowed / strummed at 30 Watts. It looked all nice and even, then I put the cotton in and threw everything back together. And when I cranked it up to 55 to 60 watts, it just wasn’t working right. Took me like eight tries to realize that I just needed to glow the coils at 55 to 60 watts. The hotspots wouldn’t show up when I glowed it at 30 Watts, It would look all even. Then when I tried to fire it at my normal vaping wattage, hotspots.
Ah yes you welded them right together and worked in the automotive field repairing for years I can’t say I haven’t done the same thing with a wrench & an alternator💥 you live and you learn!
Whoa, you can do that with an alternator??? I guess I’ve only ever worked on an alternaror with the battery disconnected… How did that happen anyway? I don’t wanna electrocute myself lol.
You said it you’re supposed to disconnect the battery it was like my first year when I was 21 literally I think 22 years ago and it was still green it’s like was making vape juice same thing or coiling haha…
In this case I was taking the nut off of the alternator without the battery disconnected and the wrench touch the frame and it almost welded the wrench to the frame hahah
yikkees well I’ve seen the fair few messed up things in my day over two decades I find the best learning tool is by hurting yourself LOL maybe not the best!
I only use single coil, but yeah. It’s recommended to cut the legs at 5mm, and If you’ve ever had an arbiter 2 it’s pretty much exactly the same with only 1 difference. When you cut the wicks they gotta stick out past the outer ring of atomizer in order to properly fit into be juice ports. If you try and cut the wick to the outside diameter of the atomizer base then it will be too short to reach the juice ports. The tails should hover above the bottom. I didn’t really have problems wicking this, all of the issues came from my coils not working properly. If you’re using a dual coil setup, I read that it’s recommended not to stuff the juice ports too much, but I’ve never done it that way.
i told you babe, the plan is to run 4mm single coil on this
you weren’t kidding the wicks were looong and kind of hard to place
but its worked well so far and the flavour is great
