As far as the board that’s too big, maybe try a different size enclosure? Or make your own enclosure?
Keeping it in storage for now. Can’t finish it anyway because i can’t identify pin 1 on the last component. Have a ticket with digikey but they probably never come back to me so i will buy it again from Farnell or so. A different manufacturer probably marks pin 1 differently.
