Anyone tried the natural range?

I have some pear by the natural range purchased from the alchemists cupboard and was wondering if anyone has tried it and how it compares to other brands and what kind of percentages I should be using. I’m looking at a simple recipe that calls for fuji apple to help bring out a strawberry and watermelon combination but I don’t have any in my box of tricks and thought pear might do the job. Any input guys?

I have not tried that pear so I can’t speak for it specifically, but in general pear works nicely to round out and juice up other fruits. Fuji will add a juicy bright layer, pear will most likely be softer. It won’t give you the same effect as fuji, but if you like that pear flavor it would definitely be worth a shot. Unfortunately having not used it I can’t recommend a %, but if you’re just using it as an enhancement then start low, probably .25-1% depending on how strong it is.

Thanks mama, I’ll give it the softly, softly approach and see how it goes

Sorry, haven’t tried that pear!
I use pear, FA, and I find it works really well with Apple mixes and also it adds a very nice, almost juicy sweet spot to any berry.

I wish I could give you some help. It appears that they are rebottled flavors but maybe not.

The website gives some good information on how to mix but doesn’t talk about percents to make these flavors at. http://www.thealchemistscupboard.co.uk/product/natural-concentrate-flavourings/

Over all I would email them asking for a single flavor recommendation and in a mix flavor recommendation. This is because they recomend recipies with 20-25% flavoring…but that call these 5x concentrates. So it’s either 5 manufactures of pear in on bottle or they are 5 times the strenght.

So personally I would not mix and waste flavorings until you know. Or only mix a 5ml testers.

I reckon this’ll be going in a couple of drops at a time til I get more information from the manufacturer and if not it’ll be getting shelved. Thanks for the advice
