Many objected to The Life of Brian but this is the only depiction of our favourite Nazarene. It is respectful regarding tone and appearance, if we ignore the fact that he was a short-haired Palestinian (1 Corinthians 11:14 settles the hair question: You don’t rant about long hair being unnatural if your God had the same).

I think that my place in vetting acceptable works in China made that too easy (I have done frame by frame examinations and chatted to PSB and FSB members regarding whether an edit is need. One second in Equilibrium generated weeks of chats.
@SessionDrummer this was a major movie when released and not a niche oddity.

Although I typically like, and remember Spielberg movies, I think I was watching other things in the 80’s.

Well that’s understandable as the 80s was the nexus of brilliance.
Here’s a few underrated films from the time.
Most laud the ‘let off steam’ scene but the end to Commando is trolling and sweating the 80s in style.
Then we have Albert Pyun (I hope the love of all bad movie fans makes death easier) for time. Piles of rocks are regarded as Pyun scenery, though random rocks are accepted as being parts of spaceships according to Gene Roddenbery.
Although, I do prefer Cyborg 2 as the protagonist is cursed with growing old with Angelina Jolie in her 20s as a partner who never ages. Frankly it can be regarded as the best end to a movie of all time.
