Evening all !
I feel like I have let various people down, @Whiterose0818 and @CallMeTut particularly.
OK, on the night of the first raffle, my next door neighbour came up to my bedroom: Her husband had driven past my girlfriend’s car in a ditch, police tape around the scene and a policeman on site. Greg and Jo (The neighbours) had tried calling her for 3 hours with no response; I have had no phone since June when it smashed on the kitchen floor, The neighbour was able to get into my house eventually when my housemate returned and let her in.
Kelly was in hospital, fortunately with nothing worse than concussion, whiplash and various bruises all over. the worst of it is though is that she suffers from Fibromyalgia anyway which means she is pretty much constantly in pain.
She was run off the road by a black 4X4 who immediately fled the scene leaving no details and Kelly was unable to get the registration number, so the insurance company is treating this situation as a “Fault” incident meaning that we are screwed, her insurance has gone from £200 p/a to £3000 p/a and they would only pay out £100 on the accident if we paid them £300 in excess, leaving us £200 down. she spent the night n hospital and at midnight our internet access was cut off through an unpaid bill. the insurance fiasco, and the fact that we have had to buy her a new car has meant that we have been unable to pay our internet to get reconnected until today. so here I am.
My SINCERE apologies go to you lot, my friends for having “ignored” you for so long, and especially to Whiterose who I was helping with the raffle, and to @CallMeTut who bought me a ticket for the second raffle, but without internet I had NO IDEA until today, and I haven’t thanked him.
Funny, Phoenix is one of my nicknames !
well according to my Scout troop and my biker friends (though the latter changed it to Treenix when I went into a tree on a sharp bend - my secret santa that year was a toy bike in a bonsai!)
Aw common, no need for that, I’m sure everyone’s happy that you’re still around. The money is bad but it could’ve been a lot worse, thank your lucky star that Kelly is ok
And I thought my Christmas season wasn’t going well. I’m so sorry all this has happened to you and especially being it is the Christmas season. I hope and pray all works out for you and yours as quickly as possible…
I have been thinking about you and worried a bit when you left in such a hurry and didn’t come back. Great to hear from you again, though the circumstances could’ve better for you. Love and hugs to you and Kelly and the best wishes for her recovery.
i was wondering where u had gone , well im happy all is well and things seem to be getting better like @Grubby said life must come first it takes a sincere person to come and apologize when no fault lies within , much respect for this post and glad to see the bird man back
