AstroTurf Wars in the Culture of Big Lies

It is! And the article also provides a direct link to the recipe.

What bugs me though is the following “light” they tried to paint this comment in:

It would certainly sound ominous to someone who is completely uninformed.

But one would certainly expect the same warnings that we regularly express here to be echoed by Mr Clark.
EG:

  • don’t use flavors that contain oil.
  • handle and store liquid nicotine with the respect it’s due (wear personal safety equipment, keep it away from kids, animals, etc).
  • do not order or mix with PURE nicotine (in other words 1000mg/ml nic).

Etc etc.

Glycols PG and VG are Alcohols. They (like PEGs, MCTs) could be seen to fall under a definition of “oils”:

An oil is any nonpolar chemical substance that is a viscous liquid at ambient temperatures and is both hydrophobic (does not mix with water, “water fearing”) and lipophilic (mixes with other oils, “fat loving”). … The general definition of oil includes classes of chemical compounds that may be otherwise unrelated in structure, properties, and uses.

CASAA’s 2016-1017 survey data indicates more “DIY types” than I had thought were out there lurking:

Dr Michael Siegel (excerpt from his December 5, 2019 publishing):

American Lung Association’s Lies About E-Cigarettes are Dangerous and Irresponsible

Earlier this week, I revealed that, ironically, in a campaign attacking e-cigarette companies for lying to the public, the American Heart Association was itself lying to the public by asserting that e-cigarettes cannot help smokers quit.

Today I reveal that, not to be outdone, the American Lung Association is lying even more blatantly to the public and in a way that is not only irresponsible but dangerous for the public’s health.

In a press release issued yesterday, the American Lung Association made the following claims:

  • Cigarette smoking is no more hazardous than using e-cigarettes.
  • E-cigarettes cannot help smokers quit.
  • If you have switched completely from smoking to using e-cigarettes, you have not quit smoking.
  • The use of e-cigarettes has caused recent hospitalizations and deaths.

Montana’s POS Gov Bullock’s Chief Counsel, Raph Graybill epitomizes pernicious doublespeak/depravity.
The appalling interview: “Montana Health Department Will Enforce Vape Ban Despite Pending Lawsuit

Whether the ruse be fallacious physiological “dangers”, and/or the ever handy “addiction”, this state (like the rest) has decided to prop-up and support their corporate cash-cows - and spares nothing where it comes to concocting snake-oil subterfuges to effectuate that. Cynical, overt “harm production” conducted for the sole purpose of funding state government. Bullock is (also) famous for persecuting pain patients and physicians.
