Dang, those Koalas are so cute. Australia is so unique. Today, on the radio, I heard they found something (a rock?) in Australia that was 7 billion years old. 3-4 billion years older than our own solar system. How’s that for unique and mysterious?

Hi @muth - thanks for pointing that out for me - I have saved all the nature pics and uploaded again - unfortunately I have lost all the state-by-state emergency warning pics from last week.
Firefox screenshots have an expiry date so they have to be saved - lesson learned!!

Seriously? My country is very well known for it’s corruption, and I’m kinda used to it, but this? SERIOUSLY!?
Ya he snatched a head line saying they would get some $ but the terms an conditions make it so most wont see a dime and the media are not covering the fine print.
He announced today that farms would be able to get a 75k grant to help them get back on their feet (it wont even scratch the surface for many farmers) but i bet the T&C are very similar meaning the hoops they will have to jump through will make it so not a dime is actually paid to the farmers that really need it
And long before the fires came through, the preceding drought. I drove about an hour or so out of Brisbane where all the dairy farms used to be and they are all gone and the land is for sale.
That is f****n bullshit!

I hope the Australian people carry that same anger till the next election - not saying the alt is any better but I have a sneaking suspicion someone would have to try really hard to be worse
I might even pay for the piece of paper that says I’m Aussie, just to vote the bastard out as well.
